Sublime and potent with a sweeping chorus that is totally lush and infectious. This is the album version of the single which is quite long and builds up to a powerful ending. Another excellent single form Elbow's album 'Asleep in the back'.
The other two tracks are very different. ' One thing that was bothering me' is moody and atmospheric and perhaps a bit more experimental.
'None One' is similar in style, again strongly featuring atmospheric vocals with delicate piano accompaniment and lots of space for the song to build.

Whilst shopping I noticed there was a band setting up in a music store, so I went over to have a look. And am I glad I did? Elbow played a brilliant live set to promote the single Powder Blue. I immediately bought both the single and the album - Asleep In The Back. Both are outstanding! Newborn is the best track on the album - it must be good if Muse steal their title! Although similar to tracks by Radiohead and Coldplay its diferent enough to be good in its own right. 1 recommendation though - if you haven't already buy the album!
