This series...is well plotted and well written. This book deserves its inevitable place on the bestseller list Literary Review

from the first "Naked in Death" I am watching a growing obsession with child sexual
abuse in detail and constant replays of the heroine Eve's abuse when she was only
eight years old. We are given in every book graphic descriptions of her nightmares
and replays of her own experiences as a child. It's becoming sick!
Are there only serial killers to chase and must they all have an obsession with Eve.
The books are beginning to repeat the formula again and again as it has been so
successful in the past.
I have been a huge fan of J.D. Robbs In Death series but this particular book was so
predictable and there was more angst and old (sick) memories of abuse and very
little action and plot.
If you are a fan of the series I would suggest you miss this one out and move straight
on to the next one. This one has no connection to the usual characters we have come
to know and love such as Peabody, Feeney, McNabb, Mavis etc., so you will miss nothing
How the delightful Rourke manages to put up with her treatment of him I don't know but
he remains devoted.
This one is about Eve New York police woman in homicide and Roarke her husband(These two are the main characters in all the books. She has to go back to Dallas, where she was abused and raped by her father. She eventually killed him at age eight
in self defence (see first book) In Dallas the past keeps getting in the way of her investigation. JD Robbs books are fast paced,
diverse, detailed and utterly moreish. I won't give anymore of the plot away. If you haven't read any of this series then start on
book one (Naked in Death) and work through them. I guarantee you won't but them down until you've finished
If there were 10 stars to give for this book I would certainly give it!! BRILLIANT.
