I'd read books one and two before reading this - it gives a great insight into how events are shaped before the sereis actually starts and all these novellas based around individuals are good to read, they give a different view to the characters, and we see how their lives so far and events that have passed have shaped the people they've become.
There is so much detail and background given for the story that it can take a toll when you first read until understanding clicks as basically your taking in information about a totally different world but as you begin to see where you are in your minds eye and the characters come to life you really start to absorb your surroundings and understand the characters and of course Allie is learning and understanding the new way things are along side you. The authors Incredible imagination is used to its very best and the story sucks you in till the very end and lives with you for a while after. How I wish life was easier for both Allie and gorgeous Revik but they have such a big fight on their hands. It was so tense I just couldn't put the book down or even sleep till I'd finished reading.
I tried to find something nice to say about a book that I quickly put down... but nope..nothing even remotely good about it. The characters were very irritating with Jaden being so over the top stupid it made me cringe when he appeared in the story. Allie herself was.. at least in the part I read, either forgiving Jaden's macho man over the top crassness, or being irritating herself. Maybe the authors idea is that characters should be "real people" with attitude problems... whatever the reason, it was poorly executed and made reading the story hard work. So.. would I recommend the book... no, there are much, much better written stories out there, this one isn't worth the effort.
