First time I had New Sacred Cow in my hands, I sampled a few tracks, something like 20 seconds each. And I did not like it - not at all.
Second time I listened to this album, I started from track 1 and finished by track 13, completely and in order. And I loved it - a lot.
Kenna's music is hard to define, maybe best described by a mix of electro-R&B with a touch of "industrial" and soft melodies. It is not like anything you've heard before. However one may call it, this music grows on you very fast: it is fresh, surprising, interresting, original and very very good. "Freetime" and "Red man" are, to me, instant favourites.
Give it a try, it's worth it:
- Keep an open mind: you won't expect this type of sound
- Listen at least to 2 or 3 full tracks: this is not easy-to-sample radio pop with a catchy chorus
