All the plans are copywight protected so you cant just blow them up and submit them, From these though you can draw your own plans using the ones in the book as a guide.
I bought this book and the older version of the same hopeing they would have different plans, they did, and it was well worth buying them, its a bargain me thinks, they haved saved me about £1300 in architechts fees for a few days reading and drawing.
Aparently its possible to buy the full plans "off the shelf" the details are in the book, i have no idea as to the price though.. all the best, dont think about it buy it , you wont be dissapointed. regards mark
So, this book can only be considered as an ideas book. After you decide which plan you like, you have two options: draw the plan up yourself or hand a copy of the idea to an architect who will work with you and draw the plans up for you. One takes time, and the other costs money, but at least the book gave you the idea!
For those building overseas, beware. Many of the designs in this book are reliant on using timber in ample quantities. You may find that in certain tropical climates that that is not such a good idea, since your dream house will become the biggest termite feast in the neighbourhood! Yes, wood can be protected against this, but generally overseas design in tropical locations minimise the wood content in house builds to reduce the chances of your dream house becoming a bug feast.
I realize you get what you pay for and if you are looking for real inspiration on plans for a new house you will need to go upmarket.
