I've been waiting for a book of this quality for years. Perfect large size, can't stand some of these pocket size photo books, what's the point I want to 'SEE THE PICTURES' and with this you do. There are over 400 pages of images and all are excellent covering a wide range within this genre. As well as the photos there is a little bio on each photographer, who they are, why they shoot and what they use. Brilliant.

This book arrived and I am afraid I could not get over how big it is. I obviously did not read in the blurb its size. It only just fits into my bookcase. The content is good except it tends to be a bit of a girlie magazine in a big book form.

This is one of Taschen's most outstanding publications in recent times, given largely to the editorial grace of Ms. Hanson. The quality of imagery is superb, but more than that - this body of work contains a very powerful sense of creative energy. The eclectic collection of photographers showcasing their work here all seem unified by this creative jizz. And this is surprising given the amazing mixture of indoor, outdoor, studio, location, color, and monochrome images that comprise this book. There are few if any works that could be described as overtly sexual, but sensuality plays a strong role, alongside its more inspiring goddess known as creativity. All this, plus given that it contains over 400 images, make this a most excellent addition to any collection.

HASH(0x9cd83b40) out of 5 stars Nice selection indeed 17 Oct. 2012
By Collin J. Rae - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
First off I will say that I am one of the photographers included in this book (as well as vol. 1) and I would consider myself not only a participant but also a connoisseur of "erotic" photography. In my opinion there is TASCHEN and then everyone else when it comes to such books. I think both volumes are essential for anyone exploring this type of subject matter. The range of work included in both volumes is impressive.

HASH(0x9da17494) out of 5 stars Just a great preview of some fantastic emerging artists. 1 Dec. 2012

While compilations like this tend to include some known photographers (always jazzed by people like Guido Argentini), the most exciting part is the collection of emerging artists and the chance to see the beginnings of their work. Knock-out photographers for me included April-Lea Hutchinson (huge fan for some time - check out her online blog, it's just fantastic stuff), Kimberly Kane, Rene Jacobs, Mark Maggiori and Julian Humphries. I have a passion for buying all kinds of photography books and pulling inspiration from them - I have 100's in my library. And while my own passion is fashion photography, the style of cutting edge erotic photographers is something I find is a great catalyst.

I hope the guys at Taschen will look at some of the more powerful artists in the collection and do monographs of their work in the future. Highly, highly recommended!

HASH(0x9cd88f54) out of 5 stars better size than most 15 Aug. 2013

if you are a student of photography, you'll love this. i am a student of the female body, so the only thing i can say is that the photos are generously sized. i appreciated the entire female body, and this aspect is generally missing. i would say that most of these photographers have a difficult time helping their ladies feel comfortable wearing only their skin, so a lot of skin is not shown.

I enjoy this book primarily because it is a well put together book. Despite it being erotic photography, it steers away from away grotesque or cheap shots. Photographs were classic
