Let's start with this:
Screen quality is better than the old gen 3DS and is slightly bigger, making most of the games look prettier as well. Being a 'fashion hunter' in MH3U/4U, I adore the fact that I can finally see the pretty armours I've crafted through time.
3D is still a bit wonky at times, but only because I tend to move my handheld when playing, other than that it does seem like it's improved.
C-stick offers a delightfully smooth transition of camera while your character is moving. I had a good chance to try that out in Xenoblade Chronicles and MH4U :)
And 3DS itself looks a lot more solid, durable and smoother. now every time I pick up my oldie it feels so wonky and kinda dingy to be fair.
And the gorgeous faceplate... It's very minimalistic, but the colours are well picked and Monado looks perfect on it. As a person with a lot of friends who own a 3DS I got a bit of jealousy from them, because this faceplate is the prettiest one available so far.
The only sad thing is that there is no new 3DS XL with this design. Other than that, this bundle is the bees knees and is worth buying. Absolutely gorgeous and I managed to get it for ridiculously cheap as well.
My only 'complaints' are that the cover plates (if you decide to get different ones) tend to be rather expensive for the plastic you're purchasing. I however may get some in the future as it looks beautiful on the new 3DS. I also believe that the camera quality needs work, the camera is more or less the same as the old one which is a disappointment as the camera tends to have a little motion blurring if you were to move it. However I sometimes take pictures and I can use them for casual graffiti and changing sound clips is pretty fun! All in all, I'd rate this a 5/5 because Nintendo have out-done themselves with this one.
Textures in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate are twice the resolution and the frame rate is far better. Only games made to make use of the new system will benefit and old titles will play and look identical However. Oh and about the super stable 3D? Simply magical. I am experiencing games in a new way thanks to the fact I no longer have to keep my eyes in a very exact position. It's a brilliant device and I have no regrets about my purchase.
The touch screen is well implemented, even if the screen resolution is a bit low for today standards...
The joysticks are awesome and give you a complete control over the games and menus. The 3D effect is incredible: I still can't understand how they managed to do that!
The sound as well is cured and gives you a kind of surrounding sensation.
I can say this is absolutely my favourite console!
The built in second control stick, the 'C-stick' as they call it is a very nice feature. How much you'll get out of it really depends upon which games you are interested in. For example, in pokemon alpha saphire ive yet to find a use for it, but for monster hunter 4u, its invaluable. Its essentially like one of those mouse nubs you used to find on old laptops, and requires some getting used to.
