Dara is a natural and so is the delightful author Bonnie Trachtenberg! Dara Lynn's childhood dream was a rose-tinted view of life and love. Fast forward and this is one grown-up relationship advice guru. But whilst Dara can solve other people's love problems, she can't solve her own. Can she find her happy ending? Is there a Mr Right for her? With the help of a feline friend named Mallory, there might be a glimmer of hope ....

A brilliant read - life, work and love collide and it's an awesome explosion that will keep you turning those pages!

What an intriguing title! Being notoriously neurotic about almost anything--and especially relationship matters--I was instantly drawn to this novel. I met a set of engaging characters with real lives who immediately held me captive and didn't let me go until the very end. Dara is a relationship guru in L.A., writing a column for a leading newspaper but then undertaking a venture of her own by setting up a revolutionary dating agency. Supported by Reggie, an unusual BFF extraordinaire, as well as her reiki-dispensing cat, she sets about making her business a success--and finding love of her own. But this is by no means a straightforward enterprise!

Neurotically Yours brings you tales of happy moods and sadness, romantic endeavour and family bereavement. It covers the spectrum of human emotion in a sympathetic and endearing way that makes plausible the characters and their reactions to life's events. The plot accelerates to a dramatic climax, and just when you think you can see the ending, there is another amazing twist and turn. I was hooked from the word `go' and couldn't put it down until I was finished.

The author writes in a clear, fast style with brilliant lines ("you can call me Al!") swiftly delivered to produce laugh-out-loud moments. Favourite scenes include one of Dara's ill-fated dates with a man terminally afraid of squirrels, and Nick's under-pressure re-evaluation of his priorities in life. Neurotically Yours is brilliant reading and great entertainment skilfully delivered.

Firstly I’d like to thank Janice from Loveahappyending for sending me this eBook to read and give an honest review.

It felt like I learned quite a bit about Dara’s character in the prologue – it highlighted a moment in her childhood that was clearly going to play a part in her dating future. Moving forward to the present day and I instantly liked grown-up Dara, she was the kind of person I would be friends with in real life and this made it easy for me to relate to her. She also had a lovely connection with her cat and being such a huge animal lover myself I really enjoyed this side of the storyline.

I absolutely loved the whole idea of MateSearch, Dara’s new business venture, particularly the Rate-a-Mate idea which I just knew would create some awkward situations. I was excited to see what kind of characters would take part and how this opportunity would affect Dara’s life.

When I was first introduced to Tony, Dara’s ex-boyfriend, there was something about him that I just really liked and I was keen to see what would happen to their friendship. Nick was a wonderful character, he was going through a tough time and so was naturally a little bit grumpy – this grumpiness made me laugh and simply made me like even him more! The court case was highly amusing and had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. I had a feeling quite early on that Dara’s love life could go one of two ways with two possible love interests on the scene, I was curious to see which direction she would take and when it all became clear I felt happy with her choice.

The writing style was captivating and kept pulling me back for more, making this a quick read for me.
