The laser pointer is a nice bonus but is quite weak, so don't buy it on the strength of that alone. On the flip-side, you can see it and it's not powerful enough to do any damage or harm to anybody, which is always a plus for what is a toy.

Bought this for my 6yr old son for xmas 2012. In fact I bought him two, so we could have gun fights together in the house.

These guns are easy for him to load and cock by himself, which requires him to insert the dart and pull back on the cocking lever. They are quite powerful guns, you certainly wouldnt want to be shot in the face at close range. But my son has learnt to bounce the darts off the walls/ceilings when we are in close quarter combat!

We also bought him a pack of 50 whistling darts, so we can stuff them in our pockets and chase each other around the house, blasting each other. The extra darts are useful to have, but they dont really whistle very loud.

Perfect boys toy.

Bought as a mini, funny little gift for my older sister, just a token item of interest to help bulk up her main birthday present.

This gift triggered all out war in the house. Within a day my brother had purchased two fully automatic machine-nerf guns, my mother had an 8 cartridge repeater and my dad had taken to spending his days ensconced in his studio to escape the sheer all out guerilla style warfare. It was chaos. Grandparents stopped visiting after being ambushed at the gate one too many times. The floor was littered with the vicious, foamy bullets and the remnants of shattered vases and anguished tears.
Nerf has torn my family apart.

Which most of the time is my brother! But the only downer is you shoot and then you have to take a bullet out of the holder and put it in.
