Outstanding value for money. This flash does everything. It has a focus assist lamp, variable flash power, bounce/swivel head, and it can be remotely operated by its slave circuit, or via a flash transmitter.
The NEEWER® 433 MHz Wireless 16 CHANNEL transmitter was built for purpose. It controls all the flash's main functions from the transmitter box using a small receiver that comes with the transmitter, that clips onto the flash unit.
Well worth the money. I bought to with the plan of builing a small portable studio.

This is one of my happiest purchases of the year. I'm one of those people that will often spend quite a bit more to get a brand name that I trust, but after reading reviews I was pretty sure this was exactly what I needed. It's fantastic. It feels robust and solid. It's fast, battery lasts incredibly well, and recharging the lithium ion battery is very practical. All that at less than 1/4 of what you'd likely pay for big brands...

I bought this to use mostly off-camera, as part of a portable studio. Put this in your camera bag, and provided you buy the triggers and bring a long your camera tripod, you have a single-light setup with you at all times. Of course its a good idea to bring along a softbox, or just a small one that fits onto the end of the flash if you really want to travel light.

Absolutely gutted, now on my 4th (no joke) flash. I purchased one in March of last year but the battery was defective so returned and had a refund. Plucked up courage to try again last June where I picked up two, until this weekend it was great. Charged the battery fully and during a wedding it died after 2 shots!!!
Not good, but luckily I had a 2nd one as backup, think again... that decides to die after maybe 10 flashes... unbelievable. Luckily I had my old Canon speedlite as a backup which saved the day.

I also purchased one for work, guess what, the battery is dead!!

Such a shame as they're great units, but looks as though the battery is the weak link. I'm going to consider picking up a replacement battery but may just go for a new speedlite as I just can't trust these on important jobs.

The flash is OK, but after a year of moderate usage all of a sudden battery did not come out of it. After some work it came out and it seems that it has been expanded - it is not square anymore and it seems that something liquid is coming out of it. And because warranty is overdue (2 weeks), no replacement.

This speedlight is well made, has good power output, but there's been a catch. The batteries on three of these - purchased about a year ago from Happy Sales UK, and so beyond the reach of a warranty claim - have begun to bulge, which means that I shouldn't use them any more. Browsing the reviews, at least one reviewer has mentioned leakage, which means that I'll probably be throwing these batteries away. Godox now sell apparently improved versions of the VB18 battery, but it's all rather disappointing for what should otherwise have been a perfect combination.

I've been a regular user of 2 TT560 flashes for several months now, both as supplementary studio lights but also as location lights for model shoots. With the location use in mind I was tempted to add the TT850 due to it's greater power and the Li-ion battery meaning fast recharging.

The TT850 boasts an LCD panel rather than the coloured lights of the smaller flashes. Power ratios are now displayed as fractions rather than blue bar-charts and to be honest are not quite so easy to use. But minor gripes like this are out-weighed by new features such as stroboscopic flash, internal power zoom, focus assist and of course the battery performance, which lives up to expectations.

For wireless use the TT850 has an optional, dedicated remote trigger/receiver that also allows some remote control functions. But as I'll still be using the TT560s alongside on location, I'll be sticking to using the more basic Neweer 4-Channel trigger sets that are cheaper but also compatible with just about any manual flash.

In summary, for those of us who prefer manual flash for total control, especially off-camera, the Neweer range is excellent value for money with the TT850 an impressively well featured unit.

I've 3 of these now. They're cheaper versions of the GODOX V850 and work with all the V850 triggers etc. Love love love. Had battery issues initial but these were resolved and I use them all the time now. Using with both Canon and Fuji X.

What a great flash!! Outstanding value for money and does everything I need it to do!! If you want a manual flash, look no further this is perfect!! So easy to use and incredibly powerful!! The battery is a beast but lasts forever!! This is soooo much better than the cheaper DBK flash which is about £25 and feels so robust and well built! Would defiantly recommend it!
