The cable I first received worked - but the quality was very poor - the square plastic housing on the female end fell apart the second time I plugged/unplugged it. I have been sent a replacement by NEET which arrived within 24 hours and this one is perfect, with very robust moulding on the female end. I cannot fault NEET's customer service or the product I now have. I can only conclude that the first one I received was an aberration, or even not a genuine cable.

it's a Neet cable & that's all there is to say !! i know, i know...this sounds like a tacky soundbite from a bad publicist but....it's true : EVERY single cable i got from Neet have been spot on : reasonably priced, well built, snug fitting plugs ( regardless of type of plug.. )

proof that quality DOESN'T have to cost an arm & a leg !! highly recommended !!

The neet mini Display port was just the product I needed, though I do feel bitter that a £800.00 mac display only comes with a 0.6 meter cable. There for requiring you to spend even more on a cable to allow you to position the screen in a suitable place on the desk. Finished my rant now and back to the product, the neet cable was affordable and of a very high quality, I would go as far to say up to apple quality. The delivery was fast and the product came well packed, so would recommend the cable to anyone who is in the market for such a product.

I bought this as it came up at the top of a list in a search for Thunderbolt extension cables. Beware it is NOT compatible with Thunderbolt as Thunderbolt is a protocol for two-way data transmission with a special chip set inside the plug at each end - I was informed by the tech person at Neet. This cable is a one way cable - which is not made clear in the description. BUT there is a Thunderbolt connection point at the rear of my Apple Thunderbolt display so a 2 metre plain Thunderbolt cable rather than an extension has done the job of extending my links to the hub and so to other devices. I agree with other reviewers that the cable on the Apple Display is rather short. Thunderbolt cables are expensive but problem solved.

Imac in study, plus TV in the lounge, plus Unlimited BT usage --------> Equals hole drilled in wall ------> Cable brought from Amazon ------> Cable fed from Imac to TV ..... Now equals TV playing whatever video and audio from Imac i click on ..... Equals BT broadband usage well and truly raped and abused ..... Casing did come apart a few times when I moved stuff around .... But I just thought about people who died facing machine gun fire during WW1 ... And my horrendous plastic casing issue, that simply require pushing two pieces of plastic together simply faded into nothingness ... The cable works .... The end xXxXx

This extension does not work as en extension to the Apple Thunderbolt 27" LED display lead. Inserting this extension between the monitor and the Mac results in a dead screen.
