Describes the various types of lace but there are some inaccuracies. The patterns are very poor. I have only tried the tatting example and that was unclear and wrong in parts. Better examples and free patterns available elsewhere .

A how to guide to a number of needlemade laces including tambour,Carrickmacross Irish, Princess, and filet laces. Tatting and reticella lace are also covered.
The diagrams are large and clear, and the instructions easy to follow.

A useful book but layout is a little drab. Clear drawings and photographs but could have been helped along with the inclusion of some patterns to work from. Can't think why tatting and crochet were included in this publication as neither are produced with a needle. However would be useful in an organisational library.
