I own 'Carbon' and 'Most Wanted' i prefer this one mostly because of

the layout of the user interface.

Being epileptic i personally found it much easier on the eye, i could

play it for longer than most wanted as the graphics seemed 'softer..'

The gameplay is great, although its too short for my liking, i like to

get stuck for a bit, get annoyed, leave it then come back with renewed

purpose..! I really enjoyed the canyon, different..

Customizing cars is one of the best points in eitherof the NFS games..

however i found that if you mess about to long then go and race it locks

up..!! The autosculpt feature is a fantastic addition to the game.

The game's graphics are smooth and as i mentioned before; 'eye

friendly'.. The characters are so realistic i had to look twice..

The music was good; only good as i only listen to hardcore..!

I like the fact you need a new profile each time you go for a different

style of car. This way you can maybe see which is best for you. The story

is different with each one, not much but enough to keep it interesting..

The Challenge Series in the game is a bit harder than the one in 'most

wanted'.

Overall, this game is good fun and worth a look.

I really liked the last need for speed game on the PS2, first thing you notice is the graphics have been improved again, which of course is always a good thing.

Need for Speed Carbon delivers even more extras, players face the ultimate test of driving on treacherous canyon roads.

The engine sounds are even more realistic than ever before.

The name of the game is to race for control of city blocks, You race against rival gangs on thier turf, then you have to take on there "crew" leader in a "life or death" race in the Carbon Canyon.

Even more cars including "muscle Cars" and "exotic cars" this will prove once and for all who makes the best cars.

They have added even more to customize your dream car, a new revolutionary "Autosculpt" customization tool gives you the power to design and morph your car in every way imaginable.

You can build your own crew where you have to choose your crew members and use their skills on the road and in your garage, this will help you win races and they help to customize your cars.

You can designate any of your crew members as a wingman, where you can trigger his special skill to knock out your rivals.

From the website they say the game has 50 Real-World Licensed Cars, where every car is tuneable so you can customize their look and performance to suit your crew.

Carbon is much different to Most Wanted, but in most areas its better. For example the police chases are much better and as in real life if you run over a spike stip/singer, your car doesnt stop(like in MW) but slows down, which it does and with autosculpt, where you can create tour own bodyparts (eg spoiler or front bumper) and the range of mods which you cant do this to is great, along with the vast amount of different vynils. However, they could have put a bit more effort into it, as it isnt too long and the police cars and voices are exactly the same as in MW, but the idea of reutrning to rockport is good. The crew/wingman and territory idea is good and the carbon duels wher you can drive off are great fun, but rather challenging, but i think they rushed getting it out and maybe spent a bit longer manking it.. wel longer, however it is still quite long. I prefered the daytime like in MW as you could see your car and its customisation, and other racers mods, but at night is gives it a real feel of being more realistic.

And the latest installment of the Need For Speed series hits the stores, but how does it measure up against its predecessors? Having played a number of the series so far, including the last NFS (most wanted), I fear that this game is a bit of a let down in comparison. Don't get me wrong, game play is good, and its relatively easy to master (the only significant challenge in my eyes has been mastering the revamped drifting races, again not overly challenging). The idea of taking and defending territories is a good one, but could have been extended upon further (more challenges etc..) and the new autosculpt option on customising shows promise.

I have been playing this for a whole afternoon now and im close on 50% complete in career mode, which doesnt suggest great things for the longevity of the game (being as most wanted kept me occupied for a good month or so before I completed it). Sadly it seems that this is just EA games effort to get a Need For Speed out for the christmas market, and while the game is far from terrible, the seasoned gamer or Need for Speed fan will find this a mere appetiser as to what could have been a really good game.

In conclusion, buy it now if you have no patience, otherwise hold off and wait for the price to come down a bit!
