I thought I was buying a book rather than a magazine article, but then I should have spotted the '15 pages' description before I purchased. It's a reasonable overview of the Code Talkers story, but there's more detail to be had in just one chapter of Simon Singh's 'Code Book'. Bruce Watson's piece seems to be a galley proof, or a work in progress, rather than a finished project - for example in one place the words [BRUCE - IS THIS RIGHT?] appear in capitals within square brackets in the middle of a sentence, and in another there is a bracketed query about an address.

THIS WAS. WORTH READING. I HAD HEARD ABOUT THE CODE TALKERS BUT DID NOT KNOW MUCH. THIS SHOULD. BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOLS. THESE GUY S WERE REAL HEROS NO ONE TRYING TO OUTDO THE OTHER. IT IS AMAZING HOW LONG IT WAS KEPT A SECRET. NATIVE AMERICANS SHOULD BE PROUD ALL OF US SHOULD BE PROUD OF THESE MEN.. MORE CREDIT SHOULD BE GIVEN ESPICALLY AFTER WHAT HAS BE DONE TO THEM. WELL WORTH READING
5.0 out of 5 stars It is a True Story 5 Dec. 2012

The story was very easy to read and understand. Just because the Code Talkers were 'First Nation' people, doesn't mean the natives are stupid or anything negative. They just showed that they were of superior intellect and able to stand up to the evils of the Nazi and also the Japanese ... If the reader is of Native stock, be very proud as they didn't do any wrong much like their adversaries.
