As wipes for sensitive bottoms, they also fail: read the contents/ingredients.
As a green product, they can win all the industry awards they like but the proof of their greenness is in the provenance. Yes, they are chlorine and fragrance free, but they've got plenty of other nasties. Factor in the road miles involved and you've got a product which is no more green than a well maintained eight year old Vauxhall.
If you want to protect your baby's delicate little bits and help ensure her or his future, get some muslin, cut into strips, soak it them camomile tea and store in tupperware. Rinse, dry and reuse until they fall apart. Job done.
I spent two weeks emailing back and forth, each time told different information: They told me it was at the depot. I was even told by one Amazon representative that they had personally called the delivery people and that the product would arrive that day. Of course it never came. The quotes below are all clearly lies as now they say they don't even have any in stock.
In the meantime I was having to spend money on more expensive wipes and not the ones I wanted as you just can't do without them, totally defeating the point of this order.
Just some of the responses past the delivery date (which incidentally became a lot later than originally advertised)... Do you feel my frustration?
5 Oct "Your order is still in transit..."
8 Oct "I've checked your order and recent tracking information states that your order is out for delivery today. Rest assure that your order will be delivered within today."
9 Oct "I have checked on your Order No: 026-3126601-1433961 and I can see that the current tracking information shows that your parcel is available for collection at the carrier's depot."
9 Oct "To makeup for the inconvenience, I've submitted your request to the carrier and they'll reschedule your delivery on October 10, 2013."
11 Oct "I've now contacted directly on your behalf and asked them to deliver the parcel today with higher priority and they promised that they will surely deliver the parcel by close of today."
12 Oct "Unfortunately, at the moment, "Nature Babycare Eco Sensitive Wipes - 10 x Packs of 70 (700 Wipes)" is unavailable..."
Oh, and then they had the cheek to send me an for the wipes saying "Never run out of Nature Babycare..."
In an attempt to make them as green(not the colour of the wipes thankfully)as possible even the packaging is bio-degradable.
They were easy to open and to use, smelt okay and lasted a good while. Worth a look if you need them, if you use disposable nappies for your bubba then you could claw back some green points by using these.
If you are trying to be eco-friendly then I suppose these are preferable to typical baby wipes, but really you might as well go the whole hog and use re-useable cloth wipes, which would also clean better!
I won't be using them again.
The wipes claim "a durable cloth-like feel" - they are a lot thinner than any of our usual brands; this also gives them a very flimsy feel. They are so thin that I put my finger through one, and I was not doing anything out of the ordinary with the wipe when it just gave way.
As a result of this accident I have found that I do not trust the wipe to the same extent that I trust the Huggies (etc); meaning that I use more of these wipes for the same area than I would normally do (approximately double the amount of wipes).
They may be "cloth-like" but it is more of a floor cloth than what I have come to expect from a sensitive baby wipe. These wipes are definitely rougher when compared to the other brands I use.
The first thing I noticed when I was using them was that they don't clean as well as the other wipes, and this was several uses before I put my finger though the wipe.Read more ›
