The book is written very well and logically laid out: it starts with the reasons to switch from conventional products to green beauty, it carries on talking about ingredients that should be avoided as potentially toxic, how to read the label of the products that we buy, how to create a simple and effective beauty routine, tips on how to treat the different skin types (she also mentions products, but it is not a promotion of what is sold in her shop / website). Imelda talks about some basic recipes that can be created at home (e.g. how to create a body cream with quality organic ingredients). I loved the table at the end of the book that compares conventional products and the equivalent in the green world to make the switch in an easy and hassle free way.
The author explains all you need to know about luxury green products aimed at skin, hair, makeup, body: it is a myth that they don't perform. Over the past 5/6 years the formulations have improved significantly and the performance is much better than conventional synthetic ingredients loaded products. The tone of the book is very down to earth, nothing like "don't use this as you may get cancer!". It is not patronising: instead it is aimed at informing the reader. The quality of the pictures and paper is very good. Initially I bought the kindle version but, due to the fact that I pick up the book very often, I decided to go for the hardcover version. The book is highly recommended even if you are not into green beauty, but are thinking about making the switch.
