Sire contends that worldviews all begin with ontology - the question of what is really real. This puts him at odds with many more Kantian and postmodern thinkers who would put epistemology (ideas about knowledge), sociology or linguistics first. But he argues in such a way that most 'real' people would agree with.
The survey of the historical development of secular and Christian worldview thinking is particularly helpful.
