About the Author

Sarah lives with her husband Richard in Spain. They live in a traditional Spanish farmhouse that they renovated together, on their olive and almond farm. Both keen gardeners they grow a lot of their own produce. Sarah loves to preserve her produce using traditional and modern methods, whether its curing olives and bacon or making jams and chutney,s. Having bred chickens she went on to breed geese after being given a mating pair from a Spanish friend as a gift. It was a success from the first year. However Sarah became too attached to her geese and was unable to slaughter them or indeed eat them. They are now her pets. She happily lives the good life in the Spanish mountains four miles from the nearest village. She lives her, mortgage free, solar and wind powered life with the man she loves. She maybe almost fifty and a grandmother to six grandson,s, but she still has her weakness for high heeled shoes. Only now she just has to scrape the chicken and goose muck off them as she leaves for a night out. Her life is full and she is content and happy living with the man of her dreams.

I wouldn't say it is one of the best books i've ever read, but i would definitely give an author thumbs up for coming up with a unique plot. It is worth a read.

What a great read. It beggars belief what goes on behind closed doors. But Sarah Beck's honest writing allows the reader to get a glimpse of how it feels to be betrayed by a man you thought you knew inside out. Step by step and in intimate detail she takes us through the agonizing discovery of who the man she married really was and how she coped and rebuilt her life. Highly recommended.

An amazing book which is open honest and sensitively written. It describes in great detail the impact on the family dynamic threatened by the increasing fetish behaviour. Like all good chik-lit it has a very good conclusion. A very worthwhile read.

Inspired by a true story, the author tells it like it is. Shocking revelations courageously told. An interesting and enlightening read into a seedy world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching, Socking, Well-Written Story 15 Feb. 2014
By Mada Sraier - Published on Amazon.com

This novel is the kind of book which you can't put down once you've picked it up. The author treated the themes of marriage, betrayal, trust, and love in such a manner that it leaves the reader wondering, asking himself or herself questions about his or her relationships. John's secret creates a good dose of mystery and makes you want to read as much and as fast as possible so that you may finally find out what it is all about. Bottom line, it's a worth-reading novel with a strong message, a book that will surely become one of your favorites.

This book was horribly written. I'm not sure if the author is the person who went through the trials, but it seemed to be just an outing of a husband by his upset wife. I barely got through this and would not recommend it to anyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Husband a mystery himself 16 Feb. 2014
By Renee Hutchinson - Published on Amazon.com

It is so hard to believe you can be married to a man and not know so much about them. I has to be so painful for Sarah. This is a true story that shows you, you never know anyone completely. If you want a good mystery suspense , with lots of twists and turns, and real life events this is the one for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Weirdly interesting 23 Feb. 2014
By N. J. L. - Published on Amazon.com

The subject was sick but it is an insight into the lives of those people whose sexuality is not the norm. The editing was terrible. The British axioms added to the editing issues made it difficult to understand at times.
1.0 out of 5 stars Boring, boring, boring! 25 April 2014
By Kathryn Bicigo - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I thought the book was boring and repetitive. The husband kept making the same mistakes over and over again and the wife kept forgiving him and taking him back. She wasted many years of her life trying to salvage her relationship. You guessed it, she never did.
