Bad mounting system and short lived fans

Used this for my AMD rig and the mounting system is terrible. At first I thought I had mounted it wrong or too much thermal paste had been applied. After 2 weeks the fans bearing wore out! Really disappointed and am going to be installing a closed loop water cooler as a replacement.

Best Enthusiast Cooler - only if the very best cooler will only do.!!

This Cooler will match, if not beat the 'Noctua D14' in some reviews... it boils down to the motherboard

you happen to be using, and the case choice is also very important.

I will admit its a beast and if you can, please always ask a MATE to help with the installation.

The 'NZXT Havik 140' - is one of the best manufactured air coolers. The the build quality is excellent,

and worth every last penny. The 2x140mm fans (included) are vertually silent and only awake under full load.

Even during full load, it has a lovely sounding "swoosh of the Blades", - "I actually like the cooler when

it peaks.!" under full load. as its not one of those high pitched annoying shrill sounds nope, its Superb.

Its the only cooler ATM that really stands up to the needs of "overclocker enthusiasts" that seek, the highest

clock speeds. Especially like the socket 'Sandy-Ivy-Bridge' 1155, i5(K) series i7(K) Series, "X79 Platforms too"..

before you order please be sure you have a 'Full tower ATX case' or 'larger ATX cases' it fits inside the NZXT

Phantom, Switch 810, 820, or CoolerMaster Haf X, Haf 922, Haf 932, & The Storm Sniper etc.

it will also fit inside the Zalman Z11 +PLUS. as the special raised side panel will let the extra height in.

I Bought my cooler elsewhere because I shop for the very best prices, and on this occasion Amazon was high.

However, I buy most of my PC components here on Amazon, including Prime membership, for next day delivery.!

Thanks for reading, you cannot go wrong with this cooler as it, goes on easily and will not disappoint those,

who seek the best overclocks on the 1155 socket, Sandy & Ivy Bridge, especially if you are an Avid gamer.

bought this a while ago... getting fantastic temps on my i5 oc'd to 4.4 33c idle and mid to high 40's under load.
rubber fittings are fiddly... ONLY if you try and install the cooler inside the case! as with all coolers should really be fitted outside of the case.

Decided to change back to Air cooling from Corsair H70 after reading reviews of this item.
One reviewer stated that it even beat Noctua D14 WHICH HAD NEVER PREVIOUSLY BEEN BEATEN.
I ordered this and IT`S A DISASTER,a real heart breaker.
Fitting it is very very awkward, and the RUBBER BAND fan retaining system is a real mess.
Even after tightening the unit down as tight as possible I was still able to move it side to side on the CPU.
This means, of course, that the CPU will not be getting the best of cooling.
I am in the process of returning this unit.
Best not to jump in and believe the reviewers, but to wait and see what others have found in real world tests. NZXT Havik 140 Dual 140mm CPU Cooler
