PRAISE FOR JAMES PATTERSON:
"The prolific Patterson seems unstoppable."
-- USA Today
"In the case of NYPD RED, there is simply too much fun --- in the form of inventive murder, sex, chemistry, investigation, more murder, more sex, and the like. Potboiler? Yes. Wonderfully told? Indeed." "bookreporter.com""

Now that is not to say do not bother, it is just that this book, in fact, the complete four in the series so far at 18/04/2017 just do not stand out as being super special.
The book is certainly good enough to kill the reading time not takes to get through the book.
I seriously believe that a large number of authors loose something special when they start writing with someone as a "co-author."
But back to the storyline. The cream of talented police officers, detectives in this case are seconded to a squad to deal with high profile cases.
In point of fact this is about trying to balance doing the job whilst coping with the interference of the bosses, political masters and the media, a very difficult juggling act as the results of an investigation are not wanted by the very same bosses, political masters and the media.
Talk about the storyline just gives away the somewhat predictable plot and I do not want to do that.
Best advice is before you, the potential reader start on NYPD RED (2), is make sure that you read NYPD RED number ONE (1). The storyline
slightly follows and it is worth while having the back story.
Did I mention I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllly need to catch up on all my reading. I've been reading so many review book's, the book's i've purchased are piling up and up and up.
So I've always enjoyed James Patterson book's The Alex Cross and The women's Murder Club oh and Michael Bennett being my favorites.
This one as usual kick's off at a pretty fast past. James Patterson books, seem to be those kind of books that when you just don't know what to read, these will see you though. You know that 9 times out of 10 you are really going to enjoy his books.
And with so many to choose from you can't go wrong, with something that will appeal to everyone.
The book seemed to just flow along, not so many holding your breath moments, more a comfortable read. All ready knowing the killers from early on, the main part is figuring out how it's all going to come together, how the cop's are going to figure it out.
I liked the main characters again in this book, and felt that we got to know them a little more. I'm now looking forward to reading book 3.
