But I persevered and it was initially through working with Sue and then through drawing on the contents of this book that I came to like Marmite. Two things shine through for me - a pragmatic and caring approach that is focused on outcomes not techniques and a belief that we are talking about a way of being rather than a thing that you do - and that for me is the difference that makes the difference.
Sue's conversational and caring style leads the reader through concepts and practices and always with an eye to - 'and then what happens'. Thought provoking and a book that can either be read through or dipped into, this has become my go to reference when faced with either questions of self development or when working with others as a coach.
This book sent me to sleep. I could have got as much from motivational posters. 26 chapters of waffle and platitudes. I really like want my money back.
"Way of the wolf" and "exactly what to say" are better choices.
This book is easy to read and learn the basic while doing the practicals to learn how to use the techniques on my own.
I already have few books on the NLP and find this book merits Five Star.
It is because this gives a very good base to learning the deeper concept of the NPL technology.
