I am however pleased to say it's a great little tablet, don't get me wrong the screen is not as sharp as an Ipad but it's light, solidly built and as fast as a dual core Nvidia tablet.
All in all I'm very happy.
I must also mention that it was delivered next day before lunchtime, less than 24 hours after I ordered it so top marks to the seller for fantastic service :)
I saw this as a deal of the day on a voucher website and decided to take the chance based on the sellers previous high ratings for similar tablets.
It arrived within 24 as the above poster said. Recorded signed for Royal Mail delivery.
The packaging ain't snazzy, but its a colourful box and everything was there.
Quality.... Very very pleased. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace phone and I had told myself if it was anything like that, then for the price i'd be happy. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has been much faster. The rotate screen option is fast and responsive. The touch aspects arent 100% perfect and i've had to tap things twice every so often to make them work. However, overall I am VERY happy with this purchase. Netflix works well. Youtube looks great. Camera is ok (though I don't use SKYPE anyway) and the net runs well. Downloaded a few apps and it hasn't affected the screen lag much.
Sound isn't perfect, but you can hear everything clearly.
Overall, Very Happy with this purchase. It's not an ipad, but it'll do for me. I know thats not the 'apple mentality' but i'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
Thanks for this little gem.
(PS. Have only had it a weekend, so this review is based on 72 hours pretty consistent usage)
Well for 50 quid I suppose I wasn't expecting much, especially after a bad experience with a couple £120 resistive android tablets from ebay at Christmas hastily returned.
However I am very happy to report these tablets are bloomin brilliant.
First off it arrived nice and swiftly so a big thank you to the seller.
Speed wise it somehow seems pretty close to my Galaxy S2, I haven't actually noticed any lag at all.
Movie play back is very smooth, at sensible resolutions I'd better add as I haven't tried any HD material yet.
The market is there in all it's glory and everything just seems to work.
So if you're uming and ahing about taking the plunge on buying a tablet this is a great place to start.
The only 2 details to make it perfect if it was for me would be GPS included and a 10" screen but as this is for my sons birthday I know he's going to love it and to be honest I might buy myself one anyway.
Ok, me and this little tablet have had quite a story.
For months and months I have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the Google Nexus 7 tablet, and once specs and reviews starting getting released I got quite excited (the little tech geek I am!). A Quad Core Tegra 3 Processor, 12 Core GPU, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 16GB of Internal Flash Storage for £199? WOW. Come the launch of it though, I couldn't quite stump up the cash without skinting myself, unfortunetly. Regardless, I still had my heart set on a 7" android tablet, so my search went on.
I saw on amazon the RTB Ultimate Version of this tablet, which I was seriously considering getting, but again my budget couldn't quite stretch to that amount (being a student) so when I saw this Lite Version, a smile crept over my face.
Sitting in the heart of this tablet PC is a single core 1.2 GHz Processor, plus a 400 MHz dedicated GPU. For £60 I wasn't expecting miracles - however I'm happy to say that general performance isn't bad at all! For most people, they will be satisfied. For more performance obsessed people (like myself) I recommend getting a dual core tablet (preferably a Tegra) or getting one of the NATPC models above this.
Apps download, install and load up fairly fast, the touchscreen is fairly responsive, but not as smooth or silky to use as my iPod Touch 4th Generation. Menu transitions are usually smooth, although from time to time it does get bogged down and crashes. I must stress to you one crucial thing though:
Be patient with it.
If things start to crash, don't start overloading the tablet with other commands because things will go mental.Read more ›
It not an iPad by any stretch of the imagination but it is superb and quick for the money....
I must remember that this is for work purposes and put down the (free) angry birds app....
Thanks for a super speedy delivery too... Ordered at 3pm yesterday, arrived at 9.30am today...
