This game is a hidden object game with a few good twist. Some of the puzzles require a little more thought, and the player is moved from room to room and often back again; also shadow rooms appear when certain ingredients and spells are completed. The game is strangley addictive and can be played more than once. The players character can be either male or female and the clues are given both verbally and in written form. As the format gooes this is game worth it's price. A nice addition for wet afternoons and boring sundays.

If you've played the likes of Dire Grove and Dollshouse, the graphics will greatly disappoint in this game. It's fun and plenty to do to fill your time but sophistication is not one of its attributes. The voices of the crow, the spirit and the annoying female narrotor will grate on your nerves to the point of frustration, but if you can rise above this and click on, the game is fun and quite challenging. Enjoy it in the way it was intended. A good time passer.

This was one of my first hidden object games and I must say I quite ejoyed it! The hidden object scenes are well done and the objects fairly easy to find. Navigation around the mansion can be difficult and there were times that I wasn't sure where to go next. The graphics are good and there are some eerie moments that add to the enjoyment.

I wanted something to take my mind off a project I am in the middle of and for 2 nights it did just that. Mortlake Mansion is quite addictive and very fun to play. In fact I have even got my teenage children playing it - though it's not as fast paced as their normal pc games.

I will say the puzzles can be taxing even to my 41 year old brain (lol) so it is probably not suited to younger children. Overall it's a good game and recommended to those who like a little bit of time away form the normal day to day slog the world throws at us.

It's a little jumpy playing it on my little acer netbook but it did work.

Have fun! I did!

I am a regular player of this type of game. Keeps the 'grey matter' ticking over. I was, thoroughly, enjoying this game until I hit a 'hitch'. To enable me to continue, I had to 'click' on a drawer in the upper gallery to collect a crowbar which would, in turn, enable me to remove boards from a door. No matter how much I tried, the drawer would not open. I have deleted my profile and re-tried - no help at all. I deleted the whole game and re-installed it - still the same result. I am VERY disappointed. I'm afraid I cannot recommend this game and I believe I'm not the only person to have had this type of experience with this particular game.
