Rebecca Ryan lives in Bradford with her husband

and three young children. Although she always

loved writing, it hadn’t really occurred to her that

she could do it professionally. She currently splits

her time between writing and working as a history

teacher at a large comprehensive school. She

enjoys walking in the countryside and takeaways

(if that counts as a hobby), which it probably doesn't.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fantastic book, well written, characters you can relate to. A funny and emotional read

I loved the straightforward and down to earth writing style. Emily is a great character, very relatable. Perhaps we’ve all been through times where we feel average, where you feel stuck in the same life routine and feel the need to do something out of your comfort zone in order to shake things up again. Emily is fuelled by grief and we can see how hard it is, after 20 years to deal with the loss of her twin. For whatever reason she decided to try and not be average, I’m glad that she did and that you get to see her overcome obstacles on her journey which leads to a sense of fulfilment, accomplishment and love 💕 I liked all the characters, the friendship between Emily and Kaz is lovely to see, even though there is a theme of grief throughout the book I found myself laughing out loud so many times.
