About the Author

Dan Gutman (b. 1955) is a prolific author of popular children s books. He began his career with adult nonfiction books about baseball, covering topics such as the game s greatest scandals and the evolution of its equipment. The birth of his first child inspired him to begin writing for a young audience, beginning with "Baseball s Biggest Bloopers" (1993)."The Kid Who Ran for President" (1996) became Gutman s bestselling book, and has sold almost a million copies. In 1997, he published "Honus & Me", a story about a young boy who finds a rare baseball card that magically takes him back to 1909 to play with the great Honus Wagner. Gutman went on to create a series about time-travel encounters with other baseball stars such as Jackie Robinson and Babe Ruth. "Miss Daisy Is Crazy" (2004) was the first My Weird School book, beginning a long-running series of more than forty novels. With "Mission Unstoppable" (2011), Gutman debuted a new adventure series: the Genius Files, starring fraternal twins Coke and Pepsi McDonald. The first book in the series became a "New York Times "bestseller. The sequel, "Never Say Genius", was published in 2012. Gutman lives in New Jersey with his family.

We are new to Amazon but I came accross #10 of the collection. These are great books for girls and boys. My 4th grade daughter is really struggling with reading and this book jump started her interest. Now she has read just about all the volumes of My Weird School Daze and is really starting to enjoy reading. The books are intersting and funny. They even have me chuckling!!!

My Daughter age 7 1/2 (2nd grade) loved this book. We read it in two nights.
She has anxiety issues but thought the book was funny. She loves school and her teachers but knows that characters are not real. We love the whole series and are on our way to reading them all

We love these books. They are not only entertaining but they also keep my son's attention while reading. The main character, AJ, is not a very nice kid on the surface, but you know deep down he's much sweeter. The authors way of using words and descriptions in the books always makes you want to read more,to see what AJ will do or say next. Great series, look forward to reading more of them.

HASH(0x9b4b1108) out of 5 stars Jared Loves this book 21 Nov. 2012
By Joanne Kaminski - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I liked it because Arlo, the main character, thinks the bathrooms are haunted. However, at the beginning of the book we found out that the janitor had just installed automatic flushing toilets and sinks. You will have to read the whole book to find out if the bathrooms are really haunted. Kids should read this book if they like humorous fiction. It will make them laugh a lot.
