My Serenity will bring you to your knees, will have you reminiscing about your truly, madly, deeply first love. As always M.Clarke never disappoints her fans and she has proved it once again with My Serenity.

The innocent love Josie and Seth had in six grade was so pure yet it was the so strong neither one of them realized how much impact their lives.

Life was not kind to Josie, but like a strong woman she was going to be she faced her demons daily, her only salvation was when she was near her first, innocent love Seth. She would endure so much pain throughout her life, her only thing that kept afloat were the memories of her hero, her serenity that Seth represented to her.

Seth was so sweet when he was young but he knew one thing he loved his Josie Rosie, like he used to called her. But when she was taken from him with no explanation he hurt but never forgot about her. This will make him the respectable, humble man he was today.

Fast forward to the present day when fate had plan on reunite Seth and Josie, the two innocent kids that were now young adults with a love so strong for each other, that it was kept in their hearts awaiting to be unleashed once and for all. Josie's demons were lurking in the shadows and they wanted to prevent them for finally be together but will Seth and Josie's love be strong enough to face her demons? Will he continue to be her hero and rescue her like she had wished all this years?

My Serenity is by far the most emotional book by M. Clarke, it will leave a permanent mark in your heart.

This broke me… finally done!
This is a book about one thing, true love. And it is beautiful
It is a story that gives hope to the fact that love can and will survive, no matter the timescale, no matter the hardship.
Josie was as tough as they come, but that was through necessity. Life had been remarkable harsh for her. But she faced each day with a fortitude that I have to say I truly admire. She had little to look forward to but she had plenty to remember, namely the boy that was embedded in her soul, the one she had loved since they were both in the sixth grade.
Seth stole her tender young heart and she had never been able to let him go, no matter how far apart they were. Her heart paid no heed to distance, time or circumstance because despite the cruel separation nothing had changed and she was not alone, because when they took her away from him the life his little heart was broken.
Seth knew that he loved Josie, he missed her when she was gone and never fully understood why she had been taken away from him … I was so sad for the two of them. They were little souls joined at their very core and life had been so cruel.
But what would you do if you get a second chance with your first love?
When at last there is a chance to allow a love that has laid dormant for so long a chance to breath, to unfurl and grow, what are these two young adults going to do?
Has too much time passed?
Can they survive the pain of the time apart and can the events of their past be put behind them completely and is it possible that what began all those years ago could finally find it’s happy ever after?
I liked the fact that the story took its time, it gave their reconnection credence and gave the events of their lives since they had been apart a chance to be aired.

I have to say I like the second one is the sequel the first one was brilliant but this one tops it . It made me laugh especially the scenes where you wrote about the two friends and then making out that they were in love with each other . Love to all the characters and I like the way you wrote of each character's opinion and not just one sided . Especially like the ending where we had both opinions of Seth and Josie. All in all a really good book to read and it deserves a definite five rate in. I hope at some point I get to read a few more of your books..

I was able to connect with this story on a personal level. As a child after my parents divorce, I was sent back and forth between parents without any prior notice. It was very difficult and very a very emotional period of my life. Like Josie, my mother suffered from mental illness, depression, and it was hard to know what mood mom would be in each day. It is wonderful that Josie had Seth as a first young love. He was so sweet and kind even though he didn't know everything Josie was going through. It tugged at my heart when she disappeared from his life so suddenly and reminded me of my first sweetheart from 2nd grade and how I cried after my mom moved us away.
It sounds like Seth had the ideal family life growing up and I think it helped when he lost his dad. Although nothing can prepare you for losing a parent, Seth had family and good friends to be there for him and support him.
Amazingly, Josie comes back into his life and brings back feelings that he thought were gone forever. Josie has gone through her own hell with her mom and with an abusive boyfriend, but for some reason she does not share this with Seth. She seems to just want to enjoy the reserfaced feelings she has for him that she had to leave behind so long ago.
Together they have a lot to work out and figure out how to move forward from here.
