Product description

Stories and poems help us see how other people are getting on with growing up - how they deal with their pals or parents, how they make difficult decisions, what intrigues them, who they'd like to be like. The stories and poems in this book are all created by young people in Scotland by contemporary Scottish writers. Because they themselves grew up in different parts of Scotalnd, their writing comes in a variety of accents and dialects. There is work in English too, of course, and a little in Gaelic. Growing up in Scotland today is partly about learning to listen to others and this anthology should provide useful classroom material to think or talk about as well as encouraging young people to write abut their own experiences.
