Rick Stein is the master with fish and does not disappoint with the content of this book.
Anyone who wishes to enlarge their knowledge should purchase this book.
Instructions are clear and to the point and nothing is complicated. The book is excellent
but should you get chance, try and see Rick Stein in person giving a demonstration.

Only tried one recipe so far, smoked haddock and Cornish yarg pie. Had to use Cheddar as Cornish yarg wasn't available. It was extremely tasty and I'd make it again although it wouldn't be on my menu weekly. Having said that though, I don't have a weekly rotation of menus; I do plan a week at a time but I'm not an "it's Sunday so it's roast whatever or Monday is x day". Lots of good ideas to encourage me to cook more fish dishes, we do eat lots of different shellfish but not much "real" fish.

Love Rick Stein and have lots of his books
I have a couple of the My Kitchen Table cookery books and saw this one.
Wanted the recipe for Mussel, Cockle & Clam Masala after seeing it on a TV program and now the recipe is a family favourite.
Prawns Cooked on Skewers with Tomato, saffron & currant sauce another favourite..Ceviche of Monk fish with avocado another fav.

Loads of lovely Fish, Seafood recipes in this handy little book.

The only downside to the book for ME is that the ingredients section on Food for Friends are printed in YELLOW type on white paper and I find them hard to see!

For a fish fanatic like my son (fishing for, cooking and eating) this was a very much appreciated present. Recipes include basic and advanced, common and exotic fish dishes. A very good choice.

Rick Stein's book is well set out and easy to read - not too bulky for using in the kitchen.

Bought this because we enjoy seafood, but are not experienced chefs. Its well illustrated and gives a wide variety of recipes, however, some easier than others. Have not been disappointed so far.

I bought this book for fresh ideas as we like to eat fish at least 3 times a week and it certainly delivers on this count. I also like the size of the book. The book is divided into various chapters, Light bites, Food for friends etc and each section has an identifying colour band at the top of the page. In addition, the ingredients' lists are printed in that colour. Mostly the colours are legible, some more so than others, however, the mustard colour type used in Food for friends is really difficult to read, even in good natural day light with good eye sight and this is very annoying. I suspect the colours used in Soups and Starters and Lite Bites sections could present a similar problem in artifical light. Let's hope the publishers address this problem in the next print run.

I have found a couple of recipes in this book that I liked enought to try (or plan to try) but in overall I just am not impressed at all. The whole internet is full of recipes, often better than these, so why pay for it? I guess I had too high expectations.
