this is an absolutely excellent book i found it hard to put down when i'd finished. i don't think i've read a more toching story since. the story of a woman who makes disastourous decisions only to find happiness in the end.
also shows the difficulties for a working woman struggling to cope with a busy lifestyle.
excellent..i'd recommend it to anyone who likes a good love story with obstacles along the way...suspense filled.

I have loved all of the other Sheila O'Flanagan books that I have read so was really looking forward to this one.

This one is just so boring though and I don't know if I can read much more. I'm on page 84 and still haven't got into it. There are dull and rambling conversations, some about things that happened 20 years ago, which you know in real life just wouldn't happen. I know it's probably to give the reader background to the story but if you were in the same room listening to it, you'd go off and find something else to do!

The author is also obsessed with the main character's hair colour - we seem to be told everytime she moves that she has blonde hair. I did wonder about going back and counting how many times it's mentioned but I really couldn't bear to read it again!!

Really disappointing. I recommend Sheila O'Flanagan's other books but unfortunately not this one.

Ash isn't a typical heroine - she's such a control freak who makes some horrible personal choices, while making great professional ones. What makes her difficult to love is the fact that she's like a real person, not a heroine in a romantic novel! While the players in this book are not exactly real life (an Irish equivalent of Bill Gates who's also great looking?)and the plot is a bit fantastic, the reactions of the people in the book are very real life - messy and unsure. You end the book knowing that Ash still has many hurdles to get over - I can't imagine her final discussion with "Bill Gates" - but that she's on the right track. And yes, you know who she'll end up with from the start, but it's good reading getting them there. I also liked that the "nice boy who isn't the right one" acts a bit crappy and that the "evil woman" really isn't, once you get inside her head. In other words - like in real life, people aren't totally bad or totally good.

I found the main character in this book to be annoying if not downright anally retentive - which is what I'm sure the author intended; however as a main character present throughout the book it was a bit much.

The story itself lacked substance and any sort of page-turning edge. Having said that, it was an easy read and 'mind occupying' if that's what you're after.

I've read other books by this author and I must admit, I was a bit disappointed with this one.

The really likeable characters of this book have you wishing that they would end up together. Ash is single and says she's "happy" but realises there is something missing in her life when she cooks the ultimate dinner for Dan,the night he finally proposes to his girlfriend. She says yes but you really wish she had said no. I wanted this book to go on and on. When is the next one out?

This is the second book that I have read by this author. Her books are easy to read and hard to put down. I have just ordered a couple more for holiday reading and can't wait for them to arrive.

I have read a couple of Sheila O'Flanagan's books already but this one is by far the best. I wanted to read it all in one go but I just didn't want it to end so like a delicious bar of chocolate I allowed myself a bit at a time. I loved all the characters, and the author made you feel as if you knew them all personally, I wanted wonderful things to happen to the main character Ash and I am so glad in the end that they did because she really deserved it, Well Done! Sheila please lets have some more like this. A Very happy Reader.
