Meet the Harpers--A modern, outwardly functional family engaged in constant psychological warfare.

The Complete Eleventh Series Featuring 9 Episodes

The fortunes of the Harpers are certainly up and down in this series. Susan and Janey go head-to-head for an exciting job in TV; Susan ends up being a Facecrook; Michael’s & Janey’s anniversary gift backfires.… Plus Kenzo outsmarts Ben, and Janey, much to Michael’s annoyance, becomes friendly with his new boyfriend, Matt. Meanwhile at work, Susan learns how to deal with a young lecher, and then decides it’s time to ‘Cavitox’! When Susan's father turns up out of the blue offering £2 million to buy her out of her marriage to Ben, is divorce on the cards? And will Roger’s Jollies manage to win the darts final?

Well this is it - another comedy classic series comes to an end.
At the time of writing, this series is still running and so far it looks like it is going out on a high after a couple of not so good years. It's too soon to say if Nick is going to make a last appearance although it's not looking likely.
I, along with millions of others will miss this series. I just love the sardonic wit of the characters - mainly Ben. I love his double takes (I wonder if Robert Lindsay is a Laurel & Hardy fan like myself)?
I didn't like Roger when he first appeared but he's grown on me and I just love the way Ben takes the micky out of him and Roger doesn't even realise it most of the time.

A big thank you to all the cast for all the laughs over the years - at least I can re-live them watching the DVDs.

I have the whole series and my grandson and I are avid fans
we both laugh aloud together and drive his grandmother mad.

We both agree that the BBC should poach back Nick from the BT
adverts and pay him whatever he wants the series is not the same
without him!

They are DVDs that you can watch again and again over a period of time
and still find them amusing.

We would like to start up a bring back Nick campaign.

My family series 11 DVD is indeed ''missing'' 2 episodes, BUT! they can be found on series 10 DVD, the reason being the two episodes were meant to air with series 10 on the BBC, but due to an admin error, the two episodes were pushed to series 11 on the BBC, BUT the dvd's came out as normal, on the TV, series 10 only has 7 eps, while series 11 has 11 eps, WHILE ON DVD:, both series have 9 eps. all the 18 eps created over the two series are there, However the schedule is different on TV. the two eps that feature on the TV as series 11 are entitled, ''harper VS harper'' and ''janeys choice'' BOTH of these can be found on the series 10 DVD. I hope this clears up any problems.

I'm possibly the biggest "My Family" fan in Germany and I just finished the last episode of the last season. I usually hate last episodes because they leave me sad or feeling empty. But not here. The reason is simple: There is no ending. It ends as if season 12 would come as natural as the sun rotates around the Earth. ;-) I really liked that everything stays open: The Harper life continues with business as usual. Nothing changes. Only, we won't get to see it anymore. Much better than selling the house, moving away, quitting jobs, someone dying (although there actually were two deaths near the end) or whatever other series bring at the end. About the episodes: I suppose if you read this, you already know about the episodes, otherwise I wouldn't want to spoil you. So, let's just say: All in all, I was pleased. My downstairs neighbour asked me what I watched the other night. I must have laughed so loud that she woke up. While my favourite character has always been Alfie, Kenzo proved to be an wesome replacement. He had the most hilarious moments in this season. What a great young actor. The others delivered their works as expected. I can imagine that for British people, the show might have become boring during the years, but for a non-native speaker, every single sentence brings great joy. If it would be a German show, I would surely hate Roger. But with his broad British accent, there is no way to not like him. We don't have any German series getting even close to the brilliant British style. I cannot explain what exactly I mean, but BBC series are simply the best. And "My Family" is the bestest of the best. ;-) But come one, why not make some more episodes from time to time? Wouldn't hurt nobody but make (not only) me happy.

I first watched this sitcom on BBC Entertainment. Nowadays we have the possibility of watching this channel here, in Ukraine. I simply love it! It's hilarious! The leading actor is superb as well as the other actors. But most of all -- English humour. The script writer is very talented and has a very good sense of humour. I bought this DVD set for 2 reasons. Firstly I'd like to have the opportunity to watch this sitcom whenever I want; and secondly - subtitles on the DVD will help me understand some peculiarities.

I love Lindsay and Wanamaker and their comedy timing, but the storylines in this series are threadbare and smack of desperation. The usual TV dilemma - the series should have been put out of its misery way before Series 11.
