Author, Joni Pierre, offers a simple and easy to follow cookbook based around eating healthy foods. You don't need to count calories or follow complicated meal plans that leave you craving more, but you will learn how to cook scrumptious meals while avoiding processed foods.

As well as trimming the fat, I have more energy than ever before!

This book has black and white photographs throughout (very unappealing), and some of the recipes would be preferred by a serious cook rather that a dieter, such as bison and scallops. Although this person is sugar-free (or clean & lean as they describe) I didn't find their selection of dishes particularly inspired.

HASH(0x8be91864) out of 5 stars So Easy! 17 Sept. 2013
By Belladonna17 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I have always had a love hate relationship with "dieting". Too many rules, too many ways to wrong and fall back into old habits.
Because this book focuses on changing your way of thinking, instead of focusing so much on the types of food and calories themselves, it is easier for me to understand how it all affects me as a whole.
It is so easy to read and follow. I feel a difference in my health and body already.

HASH(0x8b97a930) out of 5 stars Just What I Needed 22 Oct. 2013
By AL Prosper - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book is just what I needed. I've been trying to eat clean, and already seeing the benefits, for several weeks now. But I've been stuck with exactly what to eat beyond salads and the one green smoothie recipe my doctor's nurse gave me. My Clean Eating Cookbook is exactly what was missing for me. First of all, twenty specifically targeted clean smoothing recipes is awesome! The variety is not only good for healing but also for keeping me interested in this way of eating. The combinations are things I never would have thought of, and the color photos are gorgeous and make the recipes really exciting. Then there are great breakfast, lunch and dinner options. This is where I really needed help...how to make interesting dinners and lunch that aren't the same old same old. These recipes are fantastic for keeping me motivated and excited about eating delicious, clean food. Zucchini Fritters, Spiced Trout with Spinach, Pitted Avocado Mango Salad, Caramelized Cauliflower Bisque...yum, I can do this! AND... there are desserts featuring tons of chocolate (Applesauce Chocolate Mug Cake!!), fruit, popsicles, and even tofu bases, which is next for me to try. The recipes are clearly written, easy, and the photos really are appealing and help guide your ability to create. If you are like me and need a little help to eat the way you know you want to, this book is a must-have in your meal planning resources.

My husband and i aren't over weight or anything but when we eat unhealthy foods we can definitely feel the side effects of it. We purchased this book to help us put together meal plans for our new clean eating lifestyle. A must try!

HASH(0x8b62ca38) out of 5 stars It appears that tastiness is just something you don't require if you want to be a clean eater. 22 Jan. 2014
By Prossible - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
In the very beginning of the book, I read the section that said "However, not all 'clean eating' recipes are created equal. I find that some recipes aren't really constructed with strict clean eaters i mind, and this could reallly harm the whole clean eating program." I thought, "Oh no...!" This cookbook is not about finding tasty ways to avoid processed foods, but rather deprivation of taste as if that is the way to the benefits of healthy eating. No tasty "from scratch" sauce recipes to make a plate sing - rather 100+ combos of salt, pepper, olive oil, onion powder, and weird nut milks. If you are catering to the OCD "strict clean eater" rather than the person trying to enjoy life with healthy and tasty food as one of those things, that should be clear in the description - and other reviewers, what were you thinking? I already knew how to do bland healthy food.

HASH(0x8bad127c) out of 5 stars for deep pockets, people with far too much time on their hands!! 15 Oct. 2013
By Marchka - Published on Amazon.com

Some nice recipes - but it is extremely American and no advice on where to source the unusual ingredients - where the hell does one get date sugar?!? Also, the recipes are very very time consuming - who as 20 mins in the morning to make waffles and omelettes?!? The lunch ideas look delicious - but name me one work place that has a fully functioning kitchen and pantry to make grilled fish or chicken curry. These recipes are very impracticable and obviously designed for those lucky enough to have a). More money than sense and b). too much time on their hands. I was hoping for some nice clean eating recipe ideas for packed lunches - or quick breakfast ideas - glad I only spent $3!!
