MyBody is a 12-week home workout programme complete with equipment and over 4 hours of workouts (240 minutes of footage, including extras). My Strength - functional loaded movement exercises

12 weeks

3 workouts per week, 1 x My Strength 1 x My Power 1x My Core + user choice

Within the 2 key disciplines, sessions will be harder in weeks 5-8 than in weeks 1-4 and similarly in weeks 9-12 when compared to weeks 5-8

Whilst each My Strength and My Power workout will be of 30mins in length, they will be composed of distinct sections to enable them to be edited into shorter sessions of 12mins, 16mins and 20mins. This is in addition to the My Core workouts that are intentionally only 15mins duration. This allows for bite-size efforts to be squeezed into even the busiest of lifestyles with research showing this will still result in receiving all the benefits of the programmed.


Functional training takes a total body approach to working out using compound exercises that combine two or more anatomical movements together so in these sessions the upper & lower body muscles will work in harmony. By blending exercises and travelling through different planes of movement this programmed truly challenges the whole body.

The programme uses the continuous cardio approach rather than HIIT which is a proven calorie burner and more user – friendly

Combat fitness is chosen as the training mode for the continuous cardio sessions as research shows it requires full-body engagement, so burns more calories than running or cycling that use predominantly the lower body. A study published in the BMC Sports Science, Medicine & Rehabilitation journal showed that 12 weeks of combat drills led to a reduction in body fat of 13.2% and a drop of 5.3% on the waistline. In addition, studies have shown that mastering combat moves leads to improvements in confidence and self-esteem thus it's the ultimate empowering workout for the woman who wants to not just look but also feel great.

Finally, this programmed deploys a unique time management tactic, allowing exercise to be slotted into the shortest windows within a busy day by offering 30mins, 20mins 16mins and even 12mins workout durations. Research at Loughborough University showed that all the wonderful benefits of exercise can still be accrued with a piecemeal approach.


The tool chosen for the functional workouts is the sand bell, a piece of equipment that challenges & so develops both the muscles and movement of the entire body. Due to the shifting sand inside the sand bell it bridges the gap between movement & strength training. It combines full-body movement with load, introducing a new concept in working out – loaded movement training that combines foot patterns with resistance training. This exercise format effectively challenges & conditions muscle, fascia & nerves to improve balance, agility & dynamic strength helping to reach fat loss goals.
