This is an excellent book for any music students or researchers who need up-to-date definitions of the key terms within musicology today. This book was an absolute god-send for my MA, I can't be positive enough! It's very easy to read and easily digestible, which is important as its set out as a sort of dictionary. Brilliant.

This is an excellent summary of all the major issues in current musical scholarship. Extremely useful, informative and up-to-date articles; relevant bibliographies; and gives a good guide as to where current thinking has got to in the various different strands of musicology. An essential handbook for all music students and researchers.
