As with most of Thompson's books by reading the first few pages one has a good idea of the ending, however, it's the pages in between with their research, history and writing that make him a wonderful story teller. I thoroughly enjoyed the 'Music Makes' just as I have the majority of his books.

Another story from the pen of EV Thompson at his best.
As I have said before, we love Cornwall for holidays, and with Mr Thompson's clever writing we feel
that we know the history of the peoples, even though what we really know is the history of the wonderful
peoples that the Author ''created''.

A tragic tale of the Great Hunger which decimated the population of Ireland. A stirring account, movingly combining a love story with the tragedy of the times.
