About the Author

Steve Fielding has contributed to a number of crime publications and has published 9 books. His first major work was The Hangman's Record, a trilogy detailing the history of capital punishment in the UK between 1868 - 1964. After taking time out from writing to study for a degree in creative writing Steve went on to train as a teacher. In 2004 he featured in the Discovery Channel series The Executioners as a script consultant. Steve currently divides his time between writing and teaching literacy and numeracy to adults.

My father who originates from Bolton had great pleasure in reading the stories and identifying the places he had visited in his younger days which has a relation to the murder scenes
