The story plot was well written and so believable. Or though the subject matter was disturbing and some times cruel to the point it was heart breaking, it made the book hard to put down. I was drawn in to wanting to find out who had killed the poor innocent girl, looking for her long lost mother. The plot was amazing . With lots of false hints at who was the killer. Total shocker . I wanted the abusive father to admit his crimes and pay for them so at least the justice service could seem to be working many years after the first act was actually performed.
The book had me crying at points and smiling at others . Plotting against the cheating Will . Wanting to bang Tracey head when she couldn't see the lovely man before her. Crying for Helen at her heart break. Understanding Maggie's need to be strong and put on a front . And last of all sharing Carla's frustration at not being able to solve the murder.
They say revenge is best served cold, but at what cost? As the innocent always to be on the receiving end so it shows more than a couple of times in this book. Not only in the murder but the ripple effects it has on everyone involved.
I would highly recommend reading this book as its not as clear cut as it seems . I am kind of hoping the guilty party is brought to justice in the next book to conclude this acts of violence. Yet in many ways I would like them to find peace and happiness to bring some ending to their own suffering.
Can't wait for the next book.
