Mum & Dad, the impressive debut feature by writer-director Steven Sheil, is one of the most disturbing Brit-shockers to emerge in recent years.
When Lena, a young Polish immigrant working as an office cleaner at Heathrow Airport, misses her last bus home, she accepts an offer of help from friendly co-worker Birdie, who lives nearby with her ‘adoptive’ parents.
Knocked unconscious after arriving at the house, Lena soon finds herself imprisoned in a suburban House of Horrors, a living nightmare of abuse & torture. Designated a 'Mummy's Girl', Lena's only options appear to be to become part of the family - and join Mum and Dad in their insanity - or die.

This really IS a horror film - a sick gory nightmare, but if that's what you are looking for you will not find any better.
Using Amazons and buyers leads to 'other horror movies of a similar nature' I have ordered some more DVDs, but I know none will match the quality of Mum & Dad. KAN
So it was with a bit of trepidation that I started to watch this.
Actually, it was very "entertaining", if that is the right word.
The plot was good and it made me realise how wrong it is to trust someone you have only just met.
Yes it was gory, of course it was. I felt slightly sick when it was finished.
But it kept me watching to the end.
I was repeatedly reminded of Fred and Rose West, and what their lives must have been like.
On the plus side it has a believable story and both the acting and SFX are of a high standard. The leading lady is very good and she portrays a young woman suddenly trapped in a horror house with perfection. The first encounter with Mum, is a good chill and gives you a taste of what is to come.
On the minus side I feel the Dad role, although well acted was miscast. When I first saw him I laughed my head off, because he just doesn't fit the rolemodel at all, with hindsight I suppose that was the point, but for me it just did not work.
The gore is plentyful and comes in unexpected ways. The good thing about it is that the gore has obviously been handled by experts, it is first rate and def not for the squeamish. An 8/10 for me, this would have definately been classed "nasty" so get it now before they ban them again!
Basically, this film `Mum and Dad' is pretty sick. I'm not sure what sort of person enjoys watching something like it, but, apparently, I'm it.
A young cleaning girl at a British airport is lured home where she's held captive by `Mum' and `Dad' (obviously), plus their equally twisted offspring. If your mind is as twisted as mine, you can probably imagine some of the things that she witnesses and subsequently happens to her while she's shackled and chained. So, if you want to watch something like that then you should enjoy a film as brutal as this.
It's made on a shoestring of a budget, but it doesn't really need many special effects to get its point across. It's one of the rare cases where a film really doesn't need a budget to make it any good.
If you're in the mood for something sick, give it a go. Also, if you used to watch the happy-go-lucky BBC sit-com `You Rang M'lud?' in the eighties, then you might remember the innocent and loveable `Henry' from the show. Now watch him in Mum and Dad and you'll never be able to look at him the same way again.
I'm not so sure however about the overall story line, whilst it was original I can not see why the other two 'children' would not have escaped given they went out to work each day.
Other than that it was good viewing and has a few sick scenes for those that like that sort of thing.
