Susan Reimer emigrated from Canada to the UK in 1993 with her husband and two small children. At that time, American-style muffins were hardly known in the UK, and so in 1996 she produced a small collection of recipes ("Muffins: Fast and Fantastic" 1st edition) which quickly became a best seller.
