Of course, I was 4 at the time. I later read this book for a public speaking class in high school, and I was surprised at how well it all held up. A great introduction to the fables that really appeals to former kids like me, and the real ones, too.

HASH(0x90540b40) out of 5 stars My Little Country Mouse turns City Mouse! 31 Dec. 2012
By Edna Vera - Published on Amazon.com
Format: School & Library Binding
My daughter, Vera, was working as a consular agent in Mexico. I was very concerned because of the situation in Mexico. I prayed to The Lord to find her another job. He send her to Washington DC to work for the Office of Navy Research. Being that she went from Edinburg, Texas, living in a little ranch out of the city, I called her, "My Little Country Mouse!". She lived with her cousin, Sandy, whom I call the City Mouse. This book seemed to be written for my daughter, Vera. I gave it to her for Christmas and added a Minnie Mouse doll. She will have it in her office as a reminder of going there from Edinburg. The book is beautiful and the illustrations are awesome! I loved it very much!

HASH(0x90540984) out of 5 stars Kids still enjoy the stories 4 Jun. 2013
By LindaC - Published on Amazon.com

I remember reading the story City Mouse Country Mouse as a child. I purchased this book as a "sincere joke" for my husband. He grew up in a big city and I grew up in a small country setting. He had not heard of the story and we enjoyed reading it together. We kept it and read it to the grandchildren when they visit.

HASH(0x904c80e4) out of 5 stars Just alright. 18 Dec. 2012

It was very abbreviated. Not too much substance to the story, and the illustrations weren't that good, either. Like I said, it's just alright. Nothing special.

Wanted to add to the grand-kiddie book stack at our house! A delightfully illustrated version.

Hmmm five more words required so that should do it!
HASH(0x904c8300) out of 5 stars Great book! 1 July 2014

A wonderful staple book for children. Correlates well with the first grade common core curriculum, comparing two characters, cause and effect, comparing two stories and so on. Love it!
