Say hello to the full-screen phone.
Introducing the powerful Motorola RAZR i with Intel Inside.
A big screen that fits in your hand.
Spanning edge-to-edge, RAZR i’s display measures 4.3” yet it still fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, making it an impossibly compact smartphone. Tapping out texts and emails is easier than ever, while reading on the go is easier on the eyes. Web pages, apps, videos – it’s all clear on the vibrant, high resolution Super AMOLED Advanced display.
for premium protection.
Designed with premium protective materials, RAZR i is built to go everywhere. An aircraft-grade aluminum frame surrounds the display, which is made of Corning Gorilla Glass, to deflect both scratches and scrapes. On the back, RAZR i is made KEVLAR strong. Spilled coffee? Caught in the rain? Don’t worry. RAZR i is protected with a splash-guard coating – even the electrical boards inside.
Battery life to stay mobile.
The long-life battery lets you talk, browse and more without having to constantly charge your phone – and when you set up the SMARTACTIONS battery saving rule too, your phone settings will automatically adjust to squeeze even more from every charge.
Intel Inside: move at the speed of life.
Featuring an advanced Intel processor, RAZR i has the speed to keep you doing what you’re doing, without having to stop and wait for everything to load. Jump from a game to a text and over to a playlist, then off to browse the web – all without stopping.
The Google you love.
Stocked with over 600,000 apps, plus thousands of movies, Google Play puts everything you want in one place. Just type or speak your destination and RAZR i will lead you there using Google Maps, whilst Voice Actions can send texts, read directions, make a call, play your songs and much more.
High quality camera at high speeds.
The power of Intel Inside means you get an instant launch 8MP camera that can load in less than a second.* When there’s action involved, multi-shot mode lets you snap 10 pictures in less than a second – that’s faster than most digital SLR cameras. A dedicated camera key means your camera is right there, just when you need it.
*Excludes starting camera with the display off.

Edit: - UPDATE after 3 months - I'm still as impressed with this phone as after the first few days when I wrote my original review. I still absolutely love the phone. It is just beautiful to look at, has impressive battery life (about 2 1/2 -3 days of light use and not switching it off during the night), fast internet browsing and as it turned out the material really is extremely durable. Had a little accident, my phone ended up flying through the air hitting a concrete wall hard and obviously I feared the worst. But the phone didn't have one scratch, not even the screen. So either I was extremely lucky or the phone really is as sturdy as the Motorola marketing claims...
The Intel Atom processor is pretty damn quick. At first I had my doubts about a single core processor being any good at multitasking but this proved me wrong. I can watch a movie on netflix then swap to whatsapp to reply to someones message then take a picture of the dragon that just flew past my window all in a flash.
speaking of flash, this phone has one. and it produces light which is fantastic for finding the remote from behind the sofa and taking pictures in low light.
The camera app opens very quickly.
The edge to edge display makes the thing look really neat and well designed.
and I love the kevlar back plate, it may not stop a bullet but it looks pretty great!
Battery life is good aswell, I can stretch it to two days of moderate use (the occasional text and phone call) but it will easily manage a day of intense use (watching a movie over wifi, making calls, taking photos and all that palava)
Nice to hold.
Micro SD slot up to 32GB.
the speaker is very loud if you place it in a bowl of somesort. it really has a kick behind it.
supports the 5GHz wifi band
con's: (these dont really bother me but I might as well let you know)
The vibrate is a little weak
The camera gives great contrasting colours in HDR but only in good lighting, low lighting it suffers somewhat.
front facing camera is VGA, perfect for skype but yet feels a little prehistoric and low res.
The pen tile screen display is noticeable if you are used to a RGB display (pretty much every other phone) and does look a bit dodgy when reading small black and white text. I got used to it within a day and now I just think about how practical and functional the phone is rather then a slightly lacking display.
All the big apps support the intel chipped phone but the nintendo DS emulator "Drastic" is not supported and that was a disappointment. however pretty much every other app in the play store works perfectly. in fact drastic is the only one I can find that is not compatible.
I cant think of anything else to write about really. It runs jelly bean 4.1 and MIGHT receive an update to 4.4 kitkat but as of right now motorola still haven't decided.
Nice size: I want something that fits in my pocket
Expandable: its got that MicroSD slot that the Moto G does not
Design: looks pretty good if you ask me
Android skin: plain vanilla Android (a good thing!) with addition of Circles widget which is actually quite cool. Main screens only expand one way (to the right) so that quick access to key settings is available with one swipe to the left. Sometimes this vaguely annoys me as can be more swipes to find the screen I want, but other times I quite like it.
Only downside I've noticed so far: the power button is flat with surrounding area (which itself is slightly recessed). This can make it hard to locate by touch in the dark.
Also when jogging playing music via my bluetooth earpiece kept cutting out. Not sure why that is. Maybe a problem with the earpiece.
