Not a bad device for the price range considered although there are a few niggles I will address camera is ok can get some ok shots in good light conditions but that's were it ends bad light bad picture night mode not very good considering its plastered all over the box for a 64mp I've hade better results from 12mp as for the other lenses there just there to make up the numbers and are pretty useless if click on the zoom button pics are grainy , macro is what's to be expected from any dessicated macro useless better of with main lense and cropping, performance wise it's been pretty fluid not to many stutters only odd one or two when swiping right to Google feed , this is listed as the 6GB model when in fact you will receive the lesser 4GB model (listing error ?) I contacted support and was told they would send a replacement so when it arrived 2 days later I wasnt surprised it was again only the 4GB version , Bit of a let down, so do be aware when ordering , battery seems ok only used for 2 days so will take a little time for rom to settle and for any optimization to kick in and learn pattern, charges pretty quick and gets me through a day with med/high usage but would do 2 days for light use , not a big fan of rear fingerprint readers would of been nice for side mounted one seems to be the trend in 2021 , phone feels quite hard to one hand as weight seems a bit top heavy and I have largeish Hands so will be challenging for smaller handed folks , stock almost Android and 90hz probably helps a lot with the fluidness as it's not the most upto date SOC maybe 732G may have been a better chip but the extra 2GB Ram would of made even more of a difference as I don't install many apps and probably got about 1.4gb left , Display again in price range it's not bad for 720p better than most ie the A12 from Samsung or 1+ N100 around same price mark no light bleed and looks nice and clear even if colour is a bit washed out definitely not the worst I've seen , speakers are pretty good as well not tinny but obviously not premium stereo quality , I do like the dark petal colour that changes in different angles and a Matt type finish reduces those fingerprint marks , over all for the every day user it will be sufficient , I personally after not receiving the advertised 6GB model have since returned both devices for a refund , and opted for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9T 5G as its on offer at the time of writing for same price with a 1080p display and dual 5G Sims and probably better camera results from what I've seen I will take the hit of just 4GB and no 90z for a better cam and 5G and better display , for the same price £159 normally £229 , hope this helps just my opinion for some it's perfectly fine I guess ,

Very much a fan having had the Moto G3, G5, G7 play and now the G30. Each being excellent hence returning to the brand. Stock android is bliss with no fussy overlay. The G30 is a huge leap forward over the G7 play, android 11, camera, speaker, screen 90hz and battery life being the standout features so far.
This being my first 6.5' screen phone will take some getting use to and you definitely know it's in your pocket.
Comes with a 20w turbo charger and the clear gel case which was a nice touch also.

My 1st smartphone was a Motorola (something) and I loved it, till my brother got me a free Sony Xperia XA on contract... and I hated it, from a charge once a week, reduced to 12/24 hours charge was mortifying...
Sooo... when I knew Motorola was making phones again, I couldn't resist. I did lot of research (as I'm a cheep skate, and didnt wana spend lots on something that's so easily broken) and after umming an aring over last year’s model and this... I chose this.
Camera = is great (to what I was used to) it takes beautiful pics of my cat in almost any light, so I'm happy.
Screen = Sure the screen can really only be seen looking straight at it... but why would I want to see it from any other angle?, free protection from snooping eyes on the bus!
Screen is also flat! (I hate bevelled screen! protectors dont fit!)
Volume = One thing never mentioned in reviews... This thing is LOUD! \o/... its 40% volume was the same as the full on my Sony XA! I can now HEAR when someone is calling me! Also, a different volumes for different apps, + for me :P
Gesture interface = O_O How did we live without this? I love it! Took me about 20 mins to get used to. Now I curse if I have to use someone else’s phone without it!
Gestures from a lock screen:
Camera = a double twisty karate chop turns the camera on, as there isn’t a lock screen icon or button for it.
Flash light = double sharp downward movement from lockscreen.
No Adds = Other phones at these price might come with adds… no adds, which was a huge selling point for me!
Charge = err? 3 to 7 DAYS! Like, I haven’t had the phone long enough (just over a month) to actually know how long the charge is. I forget to charge it after 3 days, and STILL had enough charge for a few more O_O… Though when it FINALLY ran out of charge, (took almost a week, and that was TRYING to drain the battery) … it did take ALL night to charge it back up… but I would rather have a long charge time with not having to panic when it gets to 30%... I think I will only have to ponder it might need charging soon at 10%! ^_^
Phone size = Large… it’s also a little over heavy… Where I would have liked a smaller screen… but not bothered with the thickness as that = battery, and I’m sooo okay with that ^_^
It also a little big for my bra when I don’t have a pocket to shove it in. :S
Finger recognition = There must have fixed this before I bought it, (as reviewers said it didn’t work so well) I haven’t had a problem, only with mucky fingers.
And if it doesn’t work, the other lock measures work just fine using one hand.
I’m just hoping this phone is as hard as my Sony XA, which I had for 4 years, dropped way to much, never had a screen protector (bevelled screen suck), survived in nothing but cheep hard customisable cases and only came away with a small dent in the edge and a too scuffed back camera (which is why I needed a new phone).
enjoy ^_^
