Motorola's MBP8 Digital Audio Baby Monitor will give you the reassurance that your child is resting peacefully. Equipped with 1.8 GHz DECT technology for sound clarity, you can feel comfortable that your little one will come through loud and clear when they need you.
Sound-activated LEDs alert you visually to any sounds coming from your baby's room, and data encryption is built-in for added security.
The MBP8 Audio Baby Monitor has a useful range of up to 50 metres with an out-of-range warning, allowing you to move around the house or the garden comfortably knowing that you will hear when your little one is awake.
The 1.8 GHz DECT technology offers a more reliable wireless connection than previous cordless technologies, which means better range and less chance of missing something important in your baby's room due to a weak or dropped signal.
There are five LEDs on the MBP8 baby monitor indicate the level of sound activity in the room, letting you keep an eye on your baby's activity by a simple visual representation.
The wireless range of the MBP8 lets you keep connected to your baby up to 50 metres away, so no matter which room you're in you don't have to give up safety or the ability to stay connected to your little one.
An alarm sounds when you're getting out of range of the transmitting unit, so you'll never have to wonder if you're close enough to hear what's going on.

I have only given four stars for sound quality because the sound is a little tinny - but I am not sure if it is because the monitor unit is in a big room with little furniture and there is a bit of an echo or if it is the speaker itself. But it serves its purpose very well so I am unconcerned about the tinny sound.
It is so easy to use. It is just plug it in and press the power button. And if you unplug it without turning it off then when you plug it back in it turns itself on. And the good thing about having to plug it into mains is that it can never run out of battery! Though if you live in an area prone to power cuts then perhaps you should consider battery operated. It also depends how you plan to use it on whether you need a speaker unit to carry with you or one you plug into the wall. For me this works great and I know I would hear it even in another room as long as the telly isn't on. So I don't consider it a necessity to be able to carry it around with me.
The microphone doesn't have much range though, but can pick up sounds from father away if they are loud enough. Something to bear in mind if you are using it for something other than a cot or bed. In terms of the range between the two units I am very impressed. I am quite far away around the corridor and have never struggled to pick up signal like some other reviewers. But perhaps if it was plugged in downstairs then I would struggle.
Overall I would highly recommend this monitor. It does exactly what it says it does and works great. And it is one of the cheapest on the market so is great value for money. As a carer I wouldn't live without it now.
I can pick up loins coughing and sneezing, but I can hear that without the monitor.
So hasn’t been that good, so gave it to a friend and she says it’s work fine.
Pro's - Cheap, plug and play, picks up very quiet noises (but don't rely on the lights, as they do you always go up when there is a quiet noise)
Con's - Don't always connect, so have to turn on and off then test that they are working. They also plug straight into the wall, so awkward to move rooms.
