Lives up to the title!

This CD does meet the expectation that the title would suggest. I have a number of these relaxing style Albums, I rotate in the car as they don't take any significant concentration away from navigating the road and this one is very pleasant with all the classical 'big hitters' present. My only reservation, actually observation, is that to fit the large number of tracks on a CD, some of them have had to be shortened. Given the length of some of the pieces, this is understandable and the CD still represents very good value for money. The only other thing worth pointing out is in my car at least I think the output volume is a little quiet but this only becomes apparent when for example, you switch back to the radio for the news and the volume is higher.

All in all, if you like classical music and want a 'hits' type album or if you just want a 'sampler' to see what all the fuss is about, I would recommend this CD set.

I am fortunate that over the years I have been able to build up a quite a good collection of music CDs. I tend to play music to suit what I am doing at the time. For example, doing household chores (silent cough) I play very upbeat music to get me through the chores. When I am at my tapestry canvas or writing verse, I listen to very different type of music. This CD 'the most relaxing classical album in the world ... ever!' is ideal for relaxing or even meditative activities. The two disc selections are packed with so many compositions that I recognise whilst offering less known pieces. I shall buy this range again - the CD's make ideal gifts for music lovers.

Mixed selection of classic classical very familiar pieces

This is a mixed album of classical music and most of these pieces will be very familiar to most people as its all the very big composers, Mozart, Chopin, Bach etc. It is a very chilling album for unwinding or having a bath or when you want to slow down. None of the pieces included are jarring on the ears and they blend and are mixed very well. It was a steal for the price too as its a double album. Its also great for those times when you want background music rather than silence because you need to concentrate but not really listen. It is so soothing and I really love it. There is also a 2nd album in the series and that's ace as well.
