A brilliant book! It has a range of projects from very simple, to more complex and caters for everyone from the novice to the more experienced mosaic artist.
Really good photos and step-by-step guides with templates in the back of the book to photocopy.
I'm looking forward to trying the projects in Angie's second book. In summary, an absolute must for anyone interested in making mosaics.

this is a great book, full of practical ideas to make for your house or garden. some would make nice gifts too. The instructions are very easy to follow and the materials very varied. Most projects can be made in a short-time. Each item can be custom-made to your own tastes and can be made bigger or smaller to suit your needs. Well worth buying.

I found this book good for me as I'm a complete novice with mosaics. It's got good basic projects and some templates (the only drawback of which is you need a photocopier to enlarge them).

However I've 'grown out' of the book quite quickly as it doesn't really go into details of more complex projects.

So - good for a start but not for anyone who has any knowledge at all of mosaic design.

This book is easily read, has very clear explanations, good photography and designs which are inspiring.
For a beginner like me, it appears to provide enough detail to take up mosaic making as a hobby.

Bought this book as a birthday gift but had a sneak preview before wrapping!! There are lots of fantastic ideas with step by step picture instructions. Even had pattern templates in the back of the book to enlarge on a copier. I had thought of trying my hand at mosaic making and after looking through this book I will definately be in the craft shop stocking up on tiles!!! The birthday recipient also thought it was fab too. Excellent buy and would defo recommend!!

The lady who wrote this book is obviously very practical and technically skilled. She provides information and good tips about making mosaic, glues etc. It really does contain everything you need to start off. However, I think that using a saw to shape your own plywood bases and drilling mosaics, such as a toothbrush holder, to a wall would put most people off. But it is full of other useful practical tips for those who don't want to use a drills or saws.

The downside of this book is that I found her designs less than pleasing to the eye, and some of her pieces I found quite awful. But I am trained in art and design so perhaps I am a little fussy about colours etc. The prettiest piece I would say is on the front cover. This book very much reminded me of the craft magazines my sister used to buy in the 1970s.

The colours she uses and the designs personally don't inspire me, however as I say, lots of useful practical tips for reference.

Love this book, many ideas from simple to more complex with good instructions and well thought out directions including great information on colour and grouting. Also has templates to give you an ease of planning your mosaics but also giving ideas of how to develop your own templates.
