I bought this track because of Tim Rose, singing Morning Rose. As a track lifted from this charitable record, you may be asking: HOW COULD YOU deprive this wonderful cause, which supports wonderful, young people who are fighting for their country? The answer is,that I am a disabled pensioner, living on benefits, who cannot afford the whole album.

This was worth 89p to remember the first time I heard this song in summer 1965 on a single released on CBS. If the performing rights had been worth bothering with then (and now) Tim would have made a million pounds out of the times this song was covered by nearly every 60's bands that played this live, along with "Yellow Tambourine" albeit the latter was not by Tim, these 2 songs must be remembered by so many people even if they had no idea who wrote or sang the original. It meant a lot to me to hear the version live of the original Vietnam protest anthem as it was adopted by many wounded veterans who came back to nothing except the hatred of a generation. I played this song many many times myself and finally managed to get it onto a record in the 80's. A great sentimental journey and a little trip back to the most creative era in music. Thanks for the 5 minutes from a better time..

I downloaded this version because it was the only one available on Amazon! I have only given it 4 stars because I would have preferred the full version off The Tim Rose album as I love the guitar riffs and musical accompaniment! This song is amazing in whatever form, so you can't really be disappointed by it! His voice is so haunting and emotional, he puts so much energy into his songs, but this song in particular always makes me cry...

Morning Dew was a favorite years ago, then I forgot all about it. Saw a program on TV about Tim dying intestate and I decided to look out for this. This was a live version and I probably prefer the record version so will look out for it as well.

It always amazes me that this song hasn't been resurrected in more recent times. Vocals may not be perfect but the guitar work and the mood of this work are superb.
