Written with wit, sometimes heartbreaking honesty, and a lot of passion, More Than Just A Mother is an always interesting read by a very talented writer. And you don't have to be a parent to appreciate it.

Whatever you've experienced as a parent then Emily has too - with humour and panache! These snippets of her life will make you yell "YEAH, ME TOO!" but she has a way of putting it into words that make you smile.

Funny, clever, touching, thought-provoking - this is a fantastic blog. I've enjoyed Emily's writing for ages and it's great to be able to subscribe via my Kindle and read whenever I have a moment. Grab a cup of coffee, sit down for five minutes and enjoy this blog from an up and coming writer.

....for the tears of laughter and sadness you will experience reading this blog. I really enjoy reading it everytime it magically appears on my home screen (so far has been approx three times a month since i subscribed) often funny and sometimes sad and poignent, with an odd competition thrown in, you will be glad you clicked on the subscribe button. It is well worth 99p a month.

There are a lot of myths about motherhood and Emily Carlisle debunks them all. From having an emergency wee in one of the children's nappies whilst stuck in a traffic jam (it's amazing how much a Pampers Baby-Dry can hold) to reviews of the latest toys, this is the only motherhood blog I read and it never fails to make me laugh - or, when you have read Emily's own story - cry. Highly recommended for mothers, father, sisters, aunties, uncles, grandparents...everyone, in fact! (except perhaps the kids - this is strictly adults only!)
