I acknowledged' what the author was trying to do with the Hero..he was trying to redeem him and he did to some extent, but I will never understand the fact that "if you love someone" you do not sleep with another woman straight after being intimate with the woman you love. It happened here, where Hero and Heroine were having sex and the Hero really loved the heroine, but shortly after he pushed her away, another woman come to him and he was all over her and slept with her! I don't get it...Yes the reader knows the reason he was holding back to be with the heroine, but after kissing her and all...he was having sex with another woman after heroine left? I mean what sort of love is that? Claiming to love someone so deeply, but then giving yourself in the most intimate way to a total stranger? And sharing all that closeness straight after heroine left? And he was doing that for years..claiming he loved the heroine? But sleeping with OW's and at the same time he was sleeping with Juliet... I just don't believe in this kind of love he claims to have toward her...Why could he not stay true to his love for her? He did not have to sleep with all these girls, but he did and I cannot accept that and this is not a real love...It does not look a true love to me....

OK so I have to say it - I kinda hated Foster for most of the story. His own insecurities and low self-esteem lead him to hurt the person he cares about the most; yet he selfishly keeps running hot and cold with Jules. I think I spent most of the book shouting DUDE at him. Yes, there are moments when his guard is down and you can see the truly amazing person he is under all those layers, however, for the most part the bad outweighs the good.

I love Jules, even though she has her own emotional barriers, her zest for life and unwavering loyalty to her friends shines through the narrative. Her quirky style and passion quickly endeared her to me further.

I really, really hated the ways in which Foster attempted to cope with his personal demons instead of trying to work through them. It seemed demeaning to himself as well as the other people concerned.

While the plot focuses on the continuing chemistry and depth of emotion between Jules and Foster, it is the character development that is really the foundation of More. Learning to life with the mistakes each has made, confronting past trauma and ultimately learning to heal as an individual as well as a friend. Just remember, honesty is always the best policy because no matter what secrets and lies will always come back to haunt you.

I enjoyed seeing Tabitha and Noah make an appearance in More and have to say I am a little apprehensive to read their continuing story in Not Without You.

Although I did struggle to feel compassionate toward Foster throughout More I did enjoy the outcome and resolution ♥

I haven't read the first book in this series, but this one was great as a stand alone book, easy reading, slightly predictable story line but still a very enjoyable book

I am so happy there was a book #2 in the series Before You Go! This one, titled very appropriately - More. The title says it all. We got more. More Noah and Tabby (from the first book), and loads more Foster and Jules. We also got more steam. Yippee! I loved finally finding out what had come between Noah and Foster. I hated Jenna even more in this book, and I didn't think that would be possible. I liked seeing the future unfolding for these friends. This story was enjoyable and a very relaxing read - I sat around and enjoyed a cloudy day with my Nook.

I am a true fan of Clare James, as this makes the 4th book I've been lucky enough to enjoy by her. I relate to her writing style easily, as she let's you really get inside of her character's head. I hope this group starts talking to Clare again, as I would definitely read more about them.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying that once I realized this book was written in first person from the point of view of 2 people, I was discouraged. I usually don't care for books written this way. BUT....this was the exception. The story told by Foster and the story told by Jules were both very well written. I fell in love with everyone in this book. Jules has very strong friendships that everyone should be lucky enough to experience. I really like the fact that everyone in "More" was real! Each character had real life problems and with the help of real friends, came up with true solutions. After some soul searching and changing the negative behavior, there was no surprise about the happily ever after! I am so glad I was given the opportunity to read and review this book.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
"One summer
One chance to forget the past.
One opportunity to make things right."
I am absolutely in love with this book!
Foster and Jules have a very intense relationship full of love and mess ups. The only thing standing in the way of their happy ever after is the secret that Foster is keeping and the drunken binges that he puts himself In to cope with everything.
This book made me experience a very wide range of emotions but left me crying happy tears at the end.
I would definitely recommend this book!

HASH(0x8f98ccd8) out of 5 stars Great read!!! 23 Aug. 2013
By Heather - Published on Amazon.com

MORE is the 2nd book in the Before You Go series. I fell in love with Jules in Before You Go. She was trustworthy, caring, outspoken and she was the only friend that Tabby had. Every girl needs a JULES in their life...

Jules, Foster, Noah and Jenna have been friends since high school. Freshman year in college Jules and Foster were dating and Noah and Jenna were dating. Foster is keeping a HUGE secret from Jules, however everyone else knows the secret. A tragic accident occurs and Jenna's younger brother is killed. The accident caused a separation between the group; everyone blamed themselves for the accident. Everyone has handled their guilt differently.
Their friendships are strained to say the least.

Jules and Foster have always had feelings for each other. Their relationship is rather complicated. Jules loves Foster, but she has grown tired of his ways. Jules wants MORE than what Foster is willing to give her. Foster is a total ladies man, and has had a revolving door of women in his left since the two of them were together. Even though Jules and Foster aren't dating anymore, Jules is still in love with him. Foster has Jules' heart, even if it is shattered into a million pieces.

"We never move forward. We never get back to that place we were before the accident. Before everything went to hell." ~ Jules

Foster loves Jules and knows that she deserves the best. Jules deserves better than what he can offer her. Foster wears a mask to hide from the world. He doesn't allow too many people know the "real" Foster. Jules that gets a glimpse of the "real" Foster every once in a while. Foster is afraid to tell her what he has been keeping from her because he knows she will hate him for it. Foster NEEDS Jules in his life. Foster knows he is being selfish by not being honest with Jules. He tries to keep Jules at a distance but she is always in arms reach. Foster knows if he tells her the truth, he will lose her from his life and ultimately lose his best friend. If Foster tells Jules the secret he has been keeping from her, will she be able to forgive him? Can Foster and Jules move past this?

"Lying by omission. I know that's what I'm doing with Jules. I should tell her, I should've told her years ago. I convinced myself that if never came up in conversation; Jules never accused me of anything or even asked for that matter, so I wasn't lying. If she had asked me point blank, I would've told her. I would've told her everything. This is how I justify it." ~ Foster

Jules is injured and an opportunity arises. Foster volunteers to take care of Jules for two weeks while Tabby goes home to see her family. Foster wants to spend as much time with Jules as possible. Can Foster be the guy that Jules knows he can be? Will Foster tell Jules how he feels? Will Foster stop this charade and finally tell Jules what he was been keeping from her?

Both Jules and Foster are afraid to tell each other how they feel for fear of rejection. So instead of telling each other how they truly feel, they come up with an idea. They will be friends "with benefits". Can the two of them have this type of relationship and leave their hearts at the door? Will this "relationship" continue after the two weeks? Will they eventually be honest with each other?

Things between Foster and Jules seem to be going well, that is until a little certain somebody decides to tell Jules what Foster has been keeping from her. To say the shit hits the fan is an understatement. Jules feels betrayed by Foster. Jules is angry because the people who she trusted the most, knew what Foster was keeping from her and they never told her. Can she get past this? Can she forgive Foster? Can she forgive her friends?

Foster can be a total sweetheart when he wants to be. Yes, he was a douche bag, and yes he deserved a couple smacks across the back of his head for the things he did to Jules, but I had to remind myself that he is your average 22 year old MALE. Everyone makes mistakes. The question is, are all mistakes forgivable?

Once Foster opened up, we got to see the "real" Foster and I fell in love with him. He LOVES Jules with all of his heart, he just needed to be honest with her and pray that she would forgive him. I am a firm believer of HONESTY.

"This picture makes me feel love because this was the first girl I met when I moved to the Cities and she was my first real friend. She was also my first love, my first heartbreak--.

I've hung on to this picture for six years. I look at it when I wake up and before I go to bed. But I don't want this picture anymore. I want the real thing." ~ Foster

I enjoyed reading this book and watching the relationship between Foster and Jules. It is evident that there is chemistry between Foster and Jules. The sparks fly right off of the pages. I loved how we got a little more of Noah and Tabby in this book as well.

HASH(0x8f98cf18) out of 5 stars More by Clare James 31 July 2013
By Ro Mejia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
My Take on this Journey:

More, by Clare James, is the sequel to Before You Go. This novel is told in dual narration, in the perspectives of the two main characters, Foster Sutton and Jules Taylor. Foster is a Native American from the Ojibwe people, who is searching his roots from his father's side of the family, but never was interested before. He is interested in Culinary Arts, and decides to intern for the summer in a Bistro down the street. Jules is a student Interning for the summer at D&D and Associates, a law firm. She loves photography, but doesn't believe in herself to go that route, so chooses a more, "Kick Ass" type of job, and find herself a summer fling to pull her heart away from her all consuming love for Foster. Foster is the perfect man, and the perfect lover, if he could only get back to the man he was before the accident. This was a lust filled, explosive, amazingly sexy novel, with life lessons, learning to forgive, accept, and move on to love again! There is an accident that Ms. James tells the reader about that has affected all the characters in one way or another. They all have their challenges, and their guilt and torment, for what they could have and should have done, and a lot of what ifs.

Foster cannot deal with what part in played in this accident of his good friend Ben, so he calms the pain in his heart, by drinking himself under the table over and over again, drowning his sorrow, and becoming a man whore. He just cannot move on from the day of the accident. There are so many girls in and out of his bedroom, but only one girl in his heart, Jules. Foster doesn't feel he is deserving of Jules, so he plays out the life he thinks he deserves. He has an empty existence, and the only saving grace in his life is the secret, "Friends with Benefits" relationship he has with Jules, the girl of his dreams. Noah, a secondary character, is Foster's old roommate, that finally got tired of his lifestyle, and kicked him out when he found out his secret, that could destroy their mutual friend, Jules, and he threatens Foster with telling Jules, if they have anything more than a friendship. Noah's girlfriend is Jules best friend and roommate, Tabby. The two of them are madly in love, though they have been through their fair share of drama. Though Foster feels he is undeserving of Jules, he still doesn't want anyone else to have her, so he ruins every situation with another man that arises. A few nights before Jules starts working at D & D, there is a fist fight at a bar between Foster and a guy, Jake, that gets too close and seductive with Jules. Foster goes into a jealous rage. It just so happens that, Jake, is an associate at D & D, and they will be spending the summer working together, and it pushes Foster to straighten out his act. This little fight lands Jules in bed for two weeks with a broken arm when Jake lands on top of her, and gives Foster a foot in the door, and the opportunity to try to win her over, while her roommate, Tabby, is out of town seeing her family.

Jules is a feisty, energetic, bundle of fiery passion, no holds barred, straight shooter, full of gumption, endless vitality, edgy breath of fresh air, who has been in love with Foster since high School. Though they have had a lot of ups and downs, these two characters share a bond that is unbreakable. Growing up, Jules was abused by one of her mother's lovers, and Foster saves her, and nurtures her back to life again. Foster is her protector, but at the same time, he does really stupid things to sabotage his relationship with Jules every time he thinks things are getting too serious. Foster is undercover in love with Jules, but doesn't allow himself that gift, because he feels Jules deserves more, but he doesn't realize that he is Jules everything. Jules won't let Foster know how she really feels, because she thinks Foster is a playboy, and doesn't have the same deep feelings that she has, but hopes someday that will change. Jules will not tolerate cheating in a relationship, and Foster will do anything, to keep Jules in his life. He never wants to jeopardize his friendship with her for any reason, so he tries not to cross the line there.

Foster decides to volunteer at, The New Day Counseling Center, working with kids who have lost a loved one from drunk driving, etc, like his friend Ben. This part of the novel was heart warming, to see into the sensitive side of Foster. I could see why Jules would fall madly in love with him. His romantic side left nothing to be desired. This guy knew himself well around the bedroom too ladies! There is a great cast of primary and secondary characters with multi-dimensional depth and qualities. They all play an important role in this, by the seat of your pants, novel, that captivated my heart. This includes the antagonists too. Ms. James has created a Taste the Heat, passion filled, true to life, tutorial in the mind of a man driven by lust and obsession. This will grab your heart, and not let go straight through from beginning to end. I...wanted..more! Jules and Foster have an undying link to each other, and are always there for each other no matter the circumstances of what is going on in their lives. It was a great job, well done.

Foster and Jules grow so much in this novel, and learn to give each other, More, of what each of them yearn for, Love. They both become more compassionate, caring, loving people that the reader will root for. This book had just the right amount of "Something-Something!" I give More, by Clare James, 5, Self-Igniting, Hot, Hot, Hot, Give me a Fist-Pump, Full of Lust and Surprises, Stars!!!

FAVORITE QUOTE:

"I don't want to stop all of this in three nights. I don't want to stop at all. F*** the countdown, Jules. I want to do this for real." "You a**h***," I say, slapping his chest. "Why couldn't you say that right away?" "What fun would that be?" "Foster cups the back of my head. He's so close I can feel his breath on me. "I hate you," I whisper. "Well, I love you," he says in such a firm ad confident way that I can't move. I don't want to move, so I start taking a million silent pictures of this moment. I want to freeze it in time; I don't want to ever forget it. Not one second. And as the shutter continues clicking away in my mind, Foster kisses me--a million tiny kisses. His own way of marking the moment. "I love you, too," I finally tell him. He stops his kisses to look at me and a dozen emotions seem to pass over his face all at once before landing somewhere in the land of lust. It's incredibly hot, but also a little scary." ~Jules
