This second flaminals book has even more hillarous flaminals like the, squat, dweezle muzzgrub, pong flibber and the skwunt. It contains a funny story about a curious baby blunging and his discovery of nothing and it also has family trees of eveloution over the years. What I enjoyed mostly of this book would be finding new flaminals, seeing inside a glonk and being shown a skinned baby minbulaur. I also enjoyed a voting of who was stronger out of the adult minerbular and the squat. Who would you put your money on? I recomend this book for children and even adults to enjoy and laugh their socks of with!

Yes they're fun, but they've also provoked lots of discussion in our house about evolution, which has tied in with my younger son's dinosaur obesession, and about the state of the planet today. So fired up were my boys that they went away and made a book of their own showing how different (invented) creatures evolved into others, and describing food chains and fighting strategies. We bought the books two months ago and my kids haven't stopped talking about them since.

My son has visual dyslexia and finds reading a chore unless there are pictures to support the written text. This book is so funny, imaginative and crazy that he keeps reading it from cover to cover. He now has all the other flaminal books and loves them all. The fact that Mr Gervais has not only invented the creatures but has also invented the words to describe the creatures is a wonderful twist for my son because it's taken the fear out of reading. He now talks about flaminals the way David Attinborough talks about indigenous life in the rain forests! Any book that my son finds fun to read gets a big thumbs up from me.

As a big fan of the first Flanimals book I'd been waiting for this one with much anticipation and it was really worth the wait. I love it and while it retains the basic format of "Flanimals", "More Flanimals" really builds on it and packs in so much more Flanimal information. We get to find out how Flanimals evolved, a small taste of Flanatomy, an introduction to yet more weird and wonderful creatures (the Gernloid and the Mung Ungler being two of my new favourites) and even the tale of a baby Blunging on his own personal quest at the end. If you were a fan of "Flanimals" this new book won't disappoint, and if you missed out the first time run out and buy both - you've got a lot of studying to catch up on!

Funny book about make believe animals. Grandchildren enjoyed the strange names and the descriptions. The drawings are really good and can act as a spring board for children to create their own make believe creatures.
