About the Author

Simon Reade's directing successes include Pride and Prejudice, Salman Rushdie s Midnight s Children, Ted Hughes's Tales from Ovid for the RSC and Michael Morpurgo's Private Peaceful. He is a dramatist, director and producer. He has been Artistic Director of Bristol Old Vic and Literary Manager of the Royal Shakespeare Company and at London's Gate Theatre.
