This is one of the best travel guidebooks I have used, both for pre-trip planning, and whilst you're actually there. The author is knowledgeable about the state (and clearly loves the place), and pitches just the right level of detail. There are no superfluous glossy colour pictures, or useless maps, just sound text, well organised, with some basic but relevant b & w photos. The occasional panels containing information on some quirky aspects are great. Well worth the money.
